FIPP UNNES Strengthens Guidance and Counseling Services through the Deep Learning Symposium and the 2025 ABKIN Conference
Semarang, December 4, 2025 — The Faculty of Education and Psychology (FIPP) of Semarang State University (UNNES) is part of a series of activities of the Indonesian Guidance and Counseling Association (ABKIN) which includes a symposium, the inauguration of the Central Java Province School Guidance and Counseling Association (IBKS), and the 2025 ABKIN Regional Conference (Konferda). This activity provides a forum for guidance and counseling professionals to strengthen their competencies and develop services that meet the needs of students.
The symposium carries the theme “Deep Learning Approach in Guidance and Counseling Services: Cultivating Student Independence, Empathy, and Psychological Resilience.” The theme emphasizes the importance of a deep learning approach in guidance and counseling services to support the holistic development of students, both in terms of independence, the ability to understand others, and resilience in facing challenges.
The series of activities also includes the inauguration of the Central Java Province IBKS and the 2025 ABKIN Regional Conference. This agenda is part of strengthening professional organizations and efforts to build coordination and collaboration among guidance and counseling practitioners. This forum is expected to foster synergy that will improve the quality of guidance and counseling services in educational settings.
This activity supports Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) 4: Quality Education, particularly through strengthening the competency of educators and developing educational services that support student needs. Quality guidance and counseling services play a crucial role in helping students develop their potential, build character, and enhance their readiness to face academic and social challenges.
Through the ABKIN 2025 series of activities, it is hoped that the professionalism of counselors and collaboration between stakeholders will continue to be enhanced.
