Semarang, June 3, 2025 — The Faculty of Education and Psychology (FIPP) of Semarang State University (UNNES) held a Violence Prevention and Handling (PPK) Socialization event on Tuesday, June 3, 2025. This activity is part of an effort to raise awareness among the academic community regarding the importance of preventing and handling violence and creating a safe and comfortable educational environment.

The socialization was attended by the FIPP UNNES academic community, involving participants from various elements. This activity provides a space to strengthen understanding regarding the importance of preventing violence in the university environment. Through this socialization, participants are expected to increasingly understand the need for mutual respect, maintain behavior, and participate in creating a campus environment free from violence.

Preventing and handling violence is an important part of building a healthy and inclusive academic culture. A safe educational environment allows students, lecturers, and education staff to carry out academic and professional activities without fear of intimidation, discrimination, or acts of violence. Therefore, increasing awareness and involvement of the entire academic community is necessary to support sustainable violence prevention efforts.

This activity supports Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) 5: Gender Equality by strengthening awareness of the prevention of gender-based violence and the importance of equal treatment. In addition, this activity is related to SDG 10: Reduced Inequalities, through the encouragement to build an inclusive and discrimination-free educational environment, and SDG 16: Peace, Justice, and Resilient Institutions, through efforts to create a safe, just campus environment that upholds respect for the rights of every individual.

Through the PPK socialization, FIPP UNNES continues to encourage strengthening awareness and shared responsibility in preventing and addressing violence in the educational environment. This effort is expected to support the creation of a campus culture that is safe, inclusive, just, and respects the dignity of the entire academic community.
