Semarang, May 2, 2025—The Faculty of Education and Psychology (FIPP) of Semarang State University (UNNES) held a Career Preparation Workshop to equip students with the knowledge and skills necessary to enter the workforce. This activity is part of the faculty’s commitment to supporting student competency development so they are better prepared to face career challenges and opportunities after completing their education.

According to documentation, the event featured presentations, discussions, and interactions between speakers and participants. This activity provided a platform for students to gain insight into preparing for entering the professional world.
Career preparation is a crucial part of higher education. In addition to academic competency, students need to develop supporting skills, communication skills, and prepare for the job selection process and the dynamics of the professional environment. Through this workshop, students are expected to improve their understanding of career planning and prepare the necessary steps to enter the workforce.

This activity supports Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) 8: Decent Work and Economic Growth, particularly by encouraging the development of relevant skills to improve the employability of the younger generation. Providing career guidance to students is one way to strengthen the quality of human resources and support the transition from higher education to the workforce.
Through the Career Preparation Workshop, FIPP UNNES continues to support students in developing their potential and preparing for their professional future. Similar activities are expected to strengthen student career development services, ensuring graduates are better prepared, competent, and competitive in facing the demands of the workforce.
