FIPP UNNES Students Participate in the 2025 Djarum Tree Planting Activity
Semarang, March 3, 2025 — Students of the Faculty of Education and Psychology (FIPP) of Semarang State University (UNNES) participated in the 2025 Djarum Tree Planting activity. This activity is part of an effort to foster student awareness of the environment and encourage the participation of the younger generation in preserving nature.
In this activity, students were directly involved in planting tree seedlings in an area filled with green vegetation. Through this activity, students gained practical experience in the importance of reforestation and the role of communities in protecting the environment. The activity also provided an opportunity for students to build camaraderie and raise awareness of ecosystem sustainability.

Tree planting is a concrete step in supporting environmental conservation. Trees play a role in absorbing carbon dioxide, maintaining air quality, and helping maintain ecosystem balance. Student involvement in this activity is expected to foster environmental stewardship habits that can be applied in everyday life.
The 2025 Djarum Tree Planting program aligns with Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) 13: Addressing Climate Change, by raising awareness and participation in environmental protection and supporting climate change mitigation. This program also supports SDG 15: Terrestrial Ecosystems, particularly through reforestation and awareness of vegetation and biodiversity conservation.
Through participation in this activity, FIPP UNNES encourages students to play an active role in preserving the environment. The involvement of the younger generation in greening activities is expected to strengthen collective awareness of the importance of protecting the earth for the sake of environmental sustainability for future generations.
