TEGAL, suaramerdeka.com – Kasus kekerasan terhadap orang lanjut usia masih marak terjadi. Kondisi ini mendorong Fakultas Hukum Universitas Negeri Semarang (Unnes) untuk memperjuangkan hak alimentasi bagi lansia.

Data peneliti dari Center for Ageing Society (CAS) Universitas Indonesia Vita Priantina Dewi menjelaskan berdasarkan data BPS pada 2019, jumlah penduduk lansia di Indonesia telah mencapai 25 juta orang.

Mayoritas lansia tersebut tinggal di desa yang pada umumnya berpendidikan rendah atau hanya sekolah dasar.

Ia juga mencatat ada sekitar 2,4 juta lansia yang terlantar. Bahkan, Catatan LBH APIK menunjukkan kasus kekerasan terhadap orang lanjut usia (lansia) masih terjadi di sejumlah wilayah Indonesia.

Masalah ini mendorong Tim Fakultas Hukum Universitas Negeri Semarang mengadakan Sosialisasi dan Pengabdian kepada Masyarakat mengenai Penguatan Pemahaman Hak Alimentasi bagi Lansia di Desa Kedungkelor, Wanureja Tegal secara terbatas dengan mematuhi protokol kesehatan, belum lama ini.

Kegiatan tersebut diketuai oleh Waspiah SH MH (Dosen Bagian Hukum Perdata), dengan anggota Ridwan Arifin (Dosen Bagian Hukum Pidana), Dian Latifiani (Dosen Bagian Hukum Perdata), Rodiyah (Dosen Bagian HTN HAN, dan Dekan FH Unnes), Kartika Fajar Cahyani (Staf Penelitian), Anita Indah Widiastuti, Adinda Ratna Pratiwi (Mahasiswa), dan Adelya Setya Ayu (Mahasiswa).

Waspiah mengungkapkan bahwa kegiatan tersebut dilaksanakan untuk menguatkan pemahaman masyarakat desa dalam memahami konsep hak-hak anak dan orang tua.

”Kami berharap, melalui kegiatan ini, tidak ada lagi kasus penelantaran bahkan kekerasan anak terhadap orang lanjut usia,” tuturnya.

Kegiatan tersebut menggaet mitra kegiatan Rumah Sehat Lansia (Rusela) Bakti Ibu Kedungkelor. Waryatun Tangwun, Ketua Rusela Bakti Ibu Kedungkelor menyambut baik adanya kegiatan tersebut.

”Kami secara konsisten melakukan penguatan terhadap para Lansia, dan melalui kegiatan yang dilakukan oleh FH Unnes bersama Rusela Bakti Ibu, kami bisa lebih memaksimalkan peran keluarga dalam perlindungan terhadap Lansia,” ungkap Waryatun.
