About BAKK Universitas Negeri Semarang

History of BAKK UNNES

The history of BAKK Universitas Negeri Semarang began in 1965 when Universitas Negeri Semarang was still called IKIP Semarang. At that time the work unit that had the main tasks and functions in the field of academic administration was the Education and Teaching Section (BPP). At that time the administrative work units within the IKIP Semarang only consisted of departments, the structural work organization of sub-sections, divisions and bureaus had not yet been formed.

Along with the times, in 1980 the government reorganized the organization of state universities. Based on Government Regulation Number 5 of 1980 concerning Principles of University/State Institute Organization, the organizational structure of the Semarang Teachers’ Training College was rearranged by Presidential Decree Number 52 of 1982 concerning the Organizational Structure of the Semarang Teaching and Education Institute. With this arrangement the Education and Teaching Section (BPP) changed to the Academic and Student Administration Bureau (BAAK) which oversees the Academic Section, Student Affairs Section, and Planning Section.

In 1999 in accordance with Presidential Decree No. 124 of 1999 concerning Changes to Semarang, Bandung and Medan Teachers’ Training Colleges into Universities, Semarang Teachers’ Training College changed to Semarang State University (Unnes). With the change of the institute into a university, the Decree of the Minister of Education and Culture No. 278/O/1999 was issued concerning the Organization and Working Procedures of Semarang State University. Substantially, the decision regulates the organization in Unnes. In this Kepmendikbud Unnes has 2 bureaus, namely: Bureau of Academic Administration, Student Affairs, Planning and Information Systems (BAAKPSI) and Bureau of General Administration and Finance (BAUK).

At the beginning of its formation, BAAK was led by Drs. Robertus Sunartoyo, teaching staff who also serves as Head of BAAK. Starting in 1988 BAAK led by Drs. Mohammad Sulthon, M.Kom. administrative personnel in structural position careers.

Based on the Regulation of the Minister of National Education of the Republic of Indonesia Number 59 of 2009 BAAK changed to BAAKK. In this new work unit, BAAKK consists of an Academic Section, a Student Affairs Section, and a Cooperation Section. As the first official in the BAAKK structure is Drs. Kardiyono, M.Pd. (2009 – 2010) who was appointed based on the Decree of the Chancellor of Unnes No. 167/P/2009 dated 3 November 2009, and since 2010 it has been continued by Drs. Heri Kismaryono, M.M. who was appointed based on the Decree of the Chancellor of Unnes Number 255/P/2010 dated 28 October 2010.

Then in 2016 based on the new SOTK (Organizational and Labor Structure), BAAKK changed its name to BAKK (Bureau of Academic, Student Affairs and Cooperation).
