Kongres Sastra Jawa (KSJ) IV resmi dibuka oleh rektor UNNES Prof Fathur Rokhman pada Jumat (4/11). Kegiatan yang bertajuk “Mbangun Regenerasi Sastra(wan) Jawa” ini akan digelar pada Jumat-Sabtu (4-5/11) di Kampung Budaya UNNES, Kampus Sekaran, Gunungpati, Semarang.

Regenerasi pengarang sastra Jawa menjadi topik hangat yang disoroti dalam Kongres Sastra Jawa kali ini. Dalam sambutannya, Prof Fathur Rokhman mengungkapkan pentingnya melestarikan sastra Jawa sebagai kekayaan budaya lokal, baik dalam bentuk karya sastra tulis maupun lisan. Regenerasi pengarang sastra Jawa perlu terus diupayakan, tak hanya oleh pemerintah pusat dan daerah namun juga para sastrawan itu sendiri.

Tantangan kita saat ini adalah bisa mengonservasi sastra Jawa dalam konteks kekinian sehingga akan menstimulus munculnya regenerasi baru dalam dunia sastra Jawa, ujar Fathur.

KSJ adalah kegiata rutin tiap lima tahun sekali yang dimulai pada 2001 di Solo. Kegiatan ini diselenggarakan atas inisiatif para sastrawan yang peduli terhadap sastra Jawa. Tujuannya sebagai wadah untuk berkumpul, membahas berbagai isu sastra Jawa yang tengah mengemuka lalu memunculkan ide-ide baru sebagai upaya agar sastra Jawa memiliki masa depan yang cerah.

Ketua panitia KSJ IV, Dhoni Zustiyantoro menuturkan bahwa diselenggarakannya KSJ juga sebagai upaya untuk memfasilitasi dan membuka ruang bagi para sastrawan Jawa khususnya penulis muda untuk menerbitkan karyanya, baik berupa geguritan maupun crita cekak (cerkak). Ada dua buku yang diterbikan pada KSJ IV, yaitu Serat: Kumpulan Gurit lan Cerkak dan Pamedhar: Kumpulan Tulisan Ilmiah yang berisi penelitian, kritik dan gagasan sastra Jawa.

Tak itu saja, pada KSJ IV kali ini para sastrawan Jawa akan duduk bersama dengan media massa dan penerbit terkait dengan semakin redupnya perhatian media massa terhadap karya sastra Jawa. Sejauh ini nyaris hanya Solopos yang memiliki kolom sastra Jawa, di luar media massa berbahasa Jawa yang masih eksis, seperti Panjebar Semangat dan Jaya Baya.

Padahal karya sastra Jawa ini digadang-gadang menjadi sarana penyampaian nilai filosofis kejawaan. Butuh langkah yang lebih taktis agar sastra Jawa kian mendapat tempat dalam sendi kehidupan, imbuh Dhoni.

KSJ IV diselenggarakan oleh Organisasi Pengarang Sastra Jawa (OPJS) bekerja sama dengan Jurusan Bahasa dan Sastra Jawa Unnes, Dewan Perwakilan Daerah (DPD) RI, Balai Bahasa Jateng dan pemprov Jateng. KSJ terbuka bagi siapa pun, dari mulai sastrawan, budayawan, dosen, mahasiswa, guru, peneliti dan masyarakat umum yang tertarik dan memiliki perhatian terhadapa sastra Jawa. KSJ IV akan dihadiri sedikitnya 150 peserta dari Jateng, Jatim, Yogyakarta dan Jakarta.

Beberapa tokoh yang hadir dalam KSJ IV, diantaranya Ki Enthus Susmono (dalang, Bupati Tegal), Prof Teguh Supriyanto (guru besar sastra Jawa Unnes), Gusti Wandasari (Keraton Surakarta Hadiningrat), Pardi Suratno (Kepala Balai Bahasa Jateng), Bandung Mawardi (penulis, pengelola Jagat Abjad Bahasa Solo), Daniel Tito (sastrawan), dan masih banyak lagi lainnya.
