Jurusan Bahasa dan Sastra Indonesia Fakultas Bahasa dan Seni (FBS) Universitas Negeri Semarang (UNNES) gelar Konferensi I Bahasa dan Sastra dengan tema “Bahasa dan Sastra Berwawasn Konservasi” di Gedung Bundar FBS Kampus UNNES Sekaran, Gunungpati (9/11).

Hadir dalam Konferensi I Bahasa dan Sastra Rektor UNNES Prof Dr Fathur Rokhman MHum, Wakil Rektor Bidang Akademik Prof Dr Rustono MHum, Ketua Program Studi S3 Bahasa Indonesia Dr Hari Bakti Mardikantoro MHum, Dekan FBS Prof Dr Agus Nuryatin MHum, Wakil Dekan Bidang Akademik Prof Dr Subyantoro MHum, mahasiswa baik S1 maupun program magister dan doktor.

Ketua Panitia Tommi Yuniawan SPd MHum berharap bahwa Konferensi I Bahasa dan Sastra bisa menjadi tradisi keilmuwan tahunan yang diselenggarakan Jurusan Bahasa dan Sastra Indonesia untuk menghimpun dan merumuskan pemikiran-pemikiran keilmuwan yang cemerlang.

Konferensi dibuka langsung oleh Rektor UNNES Prof Dr Fathur Rokhman MHum sekaligus sebagai Pembicara Utama.

Rektor UNNES yang juga Guru Besar Sosiolinguistik menyampaiakan bahwa Wawasan konservasi merupakan suatu model yang harus diikuti dan ditiru, yaitu berupa keyakinan yang melandasi sudut pandang dan memperlakukan persoalan yang menjadi fokus perhatian.

Fathur Rokhman juga menyampaikan tentang Spririt Arum Luhuring Pawiyatan ing Astanira yang merupakan ruh dari rumah ilmu. Hal ini merupakan kewajiban moral bagi cendekiawan untuk memanfaatkan ilmu pengetahuan bagi sesuatu di luar dirinya, ilmu juga perlu dihadirkan dalam berbagai aktivitas kemanusiaan.

Konfersensi ini mendatangkan pembicara nasional, Prof Dr Aron Moko Mbete dari Universitas Udayana, Prof Dr Endry Boeriswati dari Universitas Negeri Jakarta, dan penyair kebanggan Indonesia, Taufik Ismail.

Pembicara pertama Endry Boeriswati memaparkan tentang model pembelajaran bahasa indonesia berwawasan konservasi, yaitu model pembelajaran platinum. Endry menyampaikan Model pembelajaran ini dapat diterapkan pada mata pelajaran lain yang bersifat pemecahan masalah.

Model yang sesuai dan dapat digunakan di sekolah dasar, mengingat pembelajaran di sekolah menggunakan pendekatan tematik. Tema dapat digunakan sebagai satu konteks real dalam kehidupan siswa. Bila kemampuan berpikir kritis dilatih sejak dini maka pada level lebih tinggi siswa akan terbiasa memecahkan masalah dengan berpikir kritis.

Pembicara kedua Aron Moko Mbete menyampaikan tentang keanekabahasaan, perspektif ekolinguistik, dan konservasi bahasa-bahasa di indonesia. Aron menyatakan bahwa Indonesia adalah negara bangsa.

Negara-bangsa yang dibangun di atas pilar-pilar keberangaman suku (etnik) dengan kekuatan lokalnya, secara khusus kekuatan bahasa Indonesia sebagai bahasa nasional yang merekatkan bangsa dan berfungsi memajukan kebudayaan Indonesia.

Pembicara ketiga Taufik Ismail menyampaikan pentingnya budaya literasi seperti membaca dan menulis. Ia menyampaikan bahwa di Indonesia menulis dan membaca sangat minim, dan sangat menyayangkan sekolah-sekolah tidak menerapkan untuk wajib baca beberapa judul buku.

Oleh karena itu, Taufik Ismail berharap dengan adanya konferensi bahasa ini bisa meningkatkan kemauan dan minat baca tulis bagi mahasiswa, yang nantinya akan ditularkan pada teman-temannya.
