Wujudkan Universitas Berkelas Dunia, UNNES Terima 13 Mahasiswa Asing

Universitas bisa dikatakan menjadi universitas berkelas dunia jika memiliki standar pendidikan yang berkualitas, lulusannya diakui secara internasional, banyak penelitian yang terpublikasi di jurnal internasional dan juga banyak dosen yang aktif dalam asosiasi profesi internasional.

Selain itu atmosfer internasional juga terasa di lingkungan kampus dengan buktinya para dosen dan mahasiswa berasal dari berbagai negara.

Begitu juga yang dilakukan Universitas Negeri Semarang (UNNES) yang terus menerima mahasiswa asing dari berbagai negara.

Kali ini, UNNES menerima 13 mahasiswa asing yang berasal dari Via University Collage Teacher Education Denmark, dan Universiti Pendidikan Sultan Idris (UPSI) Malaysia.

Rektor UNNES Prof Dr Fathur Rokhman MHum menyampaikan selamat datang bagi para mahasiswa asing program Student Mobility for Exchange and Credit Transfer dan program Lantip Internasional Inbound 2022.

“Hari ini UNNES menerima mahasiswa asing dari Denmark dan Malaysia. Mereka mengikuti program Student Mobility for Exchange and Credit Transfer dan Lantip Internasional Inbound 2022. Selamat datang di kampus UNNES Rumah Ilmu Pengembang Peradaban,” ucap Prof Fathur.

Dalam kesempatan ini, Prof Fathur menyampaikan UNNES terbuka lebar untuk menerima mahasiswa yang berasal dari luar negeri.

“Ini sudah menjadi komitmen UNNES untuk dapat bersaing dan bersanding menjadi universitas berkelas dunia. Selain itu juga ini menjadi kesempatan untuk mengampanyekan Indonesia ke mancanegara,” kata Prof Fathur.

Melalui mahasiswa asing yang ada di UNNES, mereka diharapkan menjadi duta penyampai informasi di negaranya masing-masing.

Bahkan dalam skup lebih luas ke mancanegara, mereka diharapkan menjadi agen penyebar informasi tentang kerukunan kehidupan, keberagaman suku, budaya, agama, ketertiban, dan ramah-tamah orang Indonesia.

“Mereka akan menjadi agen kita untuk mempromosikan Indonesia ke luar negeri. Mereka juga akan menggelorakam semangat masyarakat global dengan kesadaran multikultural,” jelas Prof Fathur.

Muhammad Arif Irfan Bin Khalid mahasiswa Lantip Internasional Inbound menyampaikan dirinya tertarik dengan Indonesia karena budaya yang ada.

“Ini menjadi kesempatan saya untuk magang di UNNES untuk mempelajari budaya yang ada di sini,” ucapnya.

Sementara Anne Merie Mollar Zerrahn, mahasiswa Student Mobility for Exchange and Credit Transfer dari Via University Collage Teacher Education Denmark mengutarakan bahwa UNNES merupakan salah satu universitas terbaik di Indonesia dan dirinya ingin merasakan pembelajaran yang ada di Indonesia.

“Saya mengetahui UNNES yang merupakan salah satu kampus terbaik di Indonesia. hal tersebut juga diungkapkan oleh teman saya yang berasal dari Denmark, ia pernah berada di sini selama satu semester. Oleh karena itu, saya ingin mencoba pembelajaran di UNNES, saya kira sangat menyenangkan,” kata Anne.
