Wisuda UNNES ke-135, Rektor Tekankan Peran Lulusan Sebagai Kader Konservasi

Pesan tegas Rektor Universitas Negeri Semarang (UNNES) Prof. Dr. S. Martono, M.Si. tentang konservasi menjadi sorotan utama dalam Wisuda Periode 135 Universitas Negeri Semarang, yang digelar hari ini, Sabtu, 29 November 2025, di Auditorium Prof. Wuryanto UNNES.

Pada periode ini UNNES mewisuda 1.493 orang, terdiri dari 15 lulusan program doktor, 47 lulusan magister, 1.427 lulusan sarjana, dan 4 lulusan diploma.

Dalam sambutannya, Prof. Martono menyampaikan selamat dan sukses kepada para lulusan, sekaligus memberikan apresiasi kepada para orang tua yang telah mengantarkan putra-putrinya menyelesaikan pendidikan di UNNES.

Selanjutnya, Rektor menyinggung bencana alam yang melanda Aceh, Sumatera Barat, Sumatera Utara, dan beberapa wilayah lain. Banjir bandang dan kerusakan lingkungan menjadi pengingat bahwa manusia memerlukan alam, namun pemanfaatannya harus tetap berada dalam bingkai ekologis yang memperhatikan keberlanjutan.

Prof. Martono menekankan pentingnya cara pandang konservasi bagi setiap lulusan UNNES. Ia menyampaikan bahwa alam bukan objek dominasi, pembangunan harus mengintegrasikan aspek ekonomi, sosial, budaya, dan ekologi, serta lingkungan merupakan titipan yang harus dijaga untuk generasi mendatang.

Tiga prinsip tersebut menjadi landasan moral yang diharapkan dapat diterapkan para alumni dalam kehidupan dan pekerjaan mereka.

“Saudara adalah kader konservasi yang bertugas menerapkan dan mengedukasi masyarakat tentang pentingnya pelestarian alam, lingkungan, seni, budaya, serta nilai dan karakter,” tegasnya.

Rektor juga mengingatkan bahwa lulusan UNNES harus mampu membawa nilai konservasi di berbagai bidang profesi. Jika menjadi guru, para alumni diharapkan menumbuhkan kesadaran konservasi pada peserta didik. Jika berkarier sebagai profesional, mereka diminta membangun budaya organisasi yang menjunjung tinggi prinsip ekologis. Dan jika suatu saat menjadi pemimpin, mereka harus selalu menempatkan konservasi sebagai dasar kebijakan.

Mengakhiri pidato, Prof. Martono kembali mengucapkan selamat kepada seluruh lulusan Periode 135. Ia menegaskan bahwa wisuda bukan hanya penanda keberhasilan akademik, melainkan awal dari tanggung jawab baru sebagai alumni UNNES.

“Jaga komitmen, tingkatkan kesadaran, dan terus kembangkan kompetensi diri agar dapat menjadi kader konservasi yang unggul serta berdampak positif bagi lingkungan,” ungkapnya.
