Welcoming Party, Mahasiswa Thailand Menari Bersama Pejabat FIK Unnes

Jumat siang (15/5) di Gedung Serba Guna Fakultas Ilmu Keolahragaan (FIK) Universitas Negeri Semarang (Unnes), tampak wajah-wajah asing yang mirip Indonesia sedang menari tradisional Thailand. Mereka juga mengajak Dekan FIK Dr Harry Pramono, Pembantu Dekan Bidang Akademik Tri Rustiadi MKes, Prof Dr Tandiyo Rahayu, dan beberapa pejabat FIK ikut menari bersama.

Wajah asing tersebut adalah 10 mahasiswa dari Srinakharinwirot University Thailand yang akan belajar di FIK Unnes selama 6 minggu. Mereka memperkenalkan diri dalam rangka “Welcoming Party” Fakultas Ilmu Keolahragaan Unnes itu.

”Ini merupakan salah satu indikator bagi Unnes untuk menuju universitas bertaraf internasional,” kata Dekan FIK. Ia berharap mahasiswa dari Thailand dapat belajar dengan sungguh-sungguh dan cepat berbaur dengan mahasiswa Unnes lainnya sehingga cepat menyesuaikan diri dengan lingkungan.

Harry Pramono menjelaskan,  selama kuliah di Unnes, kesepuluh mahasiswa tersebut akan mempelajari budaya, pendidikan jasmani, kesehatan dan rekreasi. Serta kecakapan lain yang meliputi belajar membatik, Bahasa Indonesia, tari, sepak takraw, badminton, pencak silat, woodball, dan tenis.

Selain itu, mereka akan mengikuti berbagai aktifitas lain seperti orientasi kampus, tur mengelilingi kota, mengikuti forum-forum diskusi, kunjungan ke sekolah, kompetsisi olah raga, mengikuti klub olah raga mahasiswa, pameran batik, dan outbond.

“Mahasiswa dari Faculty of Physical Education ini juga akan mengikuti klub studi budaya, melihat pertunjukan tari tradisional, dan melakukan presentasi menggunakan Bahasa Indonesia,” kata Harry Pram, panggilan akrab Dekan FIK itu.

Dosen FIK yang juga dosen tamu di Universitas Thailand Prof Tandiyo Rahayu menambahkan, dalam waktu dekat akan diselenggarakan alih kredit ke Srinakharinwirot University Thailand. Sehingga kelak kurikulum Unnes diakui di Universitas Negara Gajah Putih itu.

    That’s great!!!!
    Congratulation on unnes’ success for being able to invite the foreign students, particularly at Physical Education Faculty.
    Hopefully, the approval of accreditation between both universities will be able to be approved as soon as possible.
