Wamendikbud Resmikan Profesor dan Doktor Go to School

Pelaksanaan program profesor dan doktor Universitas Negeri Semarang (Unnes) mengajar di sekolah, Profesor dan Doktor Go to School, diresmikan oleh Wakil Menteri Pendidikan dan Kebudayaan bidang Pendidikan, Prof Dr Musliar Kasim MS, Sabtu (15/3), di auditorium Unnes kampus Sekaran, Gunungpati, Semarang.

Koordinator  Program Profesor dan Doktor Go to School, Prof Dr Mungin Eddy Wibowo, mengatakan program ini dilaksanakan untuk mengawal kebijakan pemerintah dalam mengimplementasikan Kurikulum 2013. “Unnes sebagai salah satu LPTK mempunyai tanggung jawab untuk hal tersebut,” katanya. Hadir dalam kesempatan itu, Kepala Dinas Pendidikan Provinsi dan Kabupaten se-Jawa Tengah, Ketua Dewan Pendidikan Jawa Tengah, dan para professor dan doktor se-Unnes.

Dimulai pada bulan Oktober 2013, Prof Mungin mengatakan, professor di Unnes yang ketika itu berjumlah tak kurang dari 45 melakukan pendampingan dalam bentuk fasilitasi, pelatihan dan pemodelan. “Oleh para guru, mereka juga dijadikan teman berkonsultasi dan diskusi untuk membangun budaya mutu sekolah melalui kurikulum baru ini,” jelasnya.

Program ini telah dilaksanakan pada awal tahun ajaran 2013/2014 di sejumlah wilayah di Jawa Tengah, yakni Kota dan Kabupaten Semarang, Kabupaten Kendal, dan Kabupaten Demak. “Pada tahun 2014, jangkauan akan diperluas, yaitu mencakup 35 kabupaten dan kota se-Jawa Tengah dan melibatkan profesor dan doktor yang ada di Unnes,” kata Prof Mungin.

Tidak hanya melakukan pendampingan terhadap implementasi Kurikulum 2013, Program Profesor dan Doktor Go to School juga bakal mendampingi persiapan dan pelasanaan ujian nasional yang pada jenjang SMA/sederajat dilaksanakan 14-16 April dan jenjang SMP/sederajat pada 5-8 Mei 2014.

Wamendikbud memuji langkah Unnes yang turut mengawal kebijakan pemerintah. Menurutnya, apa yang dilakukan Unnes sudah seyogianya ditiru oleh peguruan tinggi lainnya. “Di banyak kesempatan di tempat lain, saya sering menyebut langkah Unnes ini harus juga dilaksanakan sebagai upaya nyata mengawal implementasi Kurikulum 2013,” ujar Musliar.

Rektor Unnes Prof Dr Fathur Rokhman MHum mengemukakan program ini bertujuan untuk memastikan terlaksananya Kurikulum 2013 sesuai dengan filosofi, konsep, kaidah, prinsip, dan makna.

“Para profesor dan doktor yang mengajar ke sekolah akan mendorong para guru untuk berpikir terbuka, sesuai dengan tujuan pelaksanaan pembelajaran yang kreatif dan inovatif,” kata Prof Fathur. Tercapainya tujuan Kurikulum 2013, menurutnya, berguna untuk mempersiapkan peserta didik yang memiliki kecakapan hidup.

“LPTK harus berperan untuk menyiapkan peserta didik. Karena itu, sekolah dan guru harus disiapkan dengan sungguh-sungguh, salah satunya memastikan terselenggaranya sistem pendidikan dengan baik,” kata Prof Fathur.
