Wamendikbud Lepas 220 SM-3T

Wakil Menteri Pendidikan dan Kebudayaan (Wamendikbud) Republik Indonesia Bidang Pendidikan Prof Musliar Kasim MS melepas 220 Sarjana Mendidik di daerah Terdepan, Terluar, dan Tertinggal (SM-3T) Universitas Negeri Semarang (Unnes) Rabu (10/10) di kampus Sekaran.

Mereka diterjunkan ke empat daerah yakni ke Manggarai 57 orang, Ende (57), Kabupaten Landak Kalimantan Barat (33), dan Aceh Besar (73).

Kegiatan diawali dengan pemakaian jaket secara simbolis kepada peserta SM-3T ke empat daerah tujuan oleh Prof Prof Musliar Kasim MS didampingi Rektor Unnes Prof Sudijono Sastroatmodjo, Pembantu Rektor, dan ketua Senat universitas.

“Jumlah guru di Indonesia dibandingkan dengan jumlah guru luar negeri dalam beban mengajar masih besar di Indonesia,  di Indonesia rasio jumlah guru dibandingkan dengan murid adalah  1:35 sedangkan di luar negeri adalah 1:30,” kata Prof Musliar Kasim.

Prof Musliar Kasim juga mengemukakan, distribusi guru di Indonesia itu tidak merata, guru di kota itu melimpah atau berlebih sedangkan di pedesaan kekurangan guru. Maka pemerintah mengadakan program SM-3T untuk pemerataan  di daerah pedesaan, katanya.

“ Jadilah anda sebagai model yang dicontoh oleh mereka. Karena guru adalah seorang model dan anda hendaknya jangan putus asa ketika melihat sekolah ditempat anda diterjunkan nanti sudah pasti tidak lengkap fasilitasnya, pesan Wamendikbud.

Dia menegaskan, usahakan bagaimana anda bisa mengajar, menginspirasi anak-anak untuk bisa lebih baik walaupun fasilitas di sekolahan kurang lengkap. Dan jangan mengeluh karena memang semua di daerah 3T itu tertinggal semuanya mulai dari infrastruktur, sumber daya manusia (SDM), dan perekonomiannya, kata Prof Musliar Kasim.

    saya merasa bangga karena unnes telah dipercaya oleh pemerintah untuk mengirimkan guru kebeberapa daerah dalam program SMT-3…..sya sendiri sebagai alumni unnes skg sdh mengajar menjadi guru pns disebuah daerah…semoga unnes makin meningkat kualitasnya….
