Wajar jika Bahasa Arab Jadi Alat Komunikasi Internasional

Sebagai bahasa yang sudah tua dan tetap digunakan umat manusia hingga hari ini, wajar bila bahasa Arab memiliki kosa kata dan perbendaharaan yang sangat luas dan banyak. Bahkan para ahli bahasa Arab menuturkan bahwa bahasa Arab memiliki sinonim yang paling menakjubkan.

Dr M Thoyib dari Sudan Timut Tengah mengemukakan hal itu saat menjadi pembicara dalam seminar Internasional Bahasa Arab di Gedung Bundar Dekanat FBS Universitas Negeri Semarang (Unnes), Selasa (04/10).

Fenomena seperti ini, menurut Thayyib, tidak pernah ada pada bahasa lain di dunia ini. Dan hanya ada di dalam bahasa arab, karena faktor usia bahasa arab yang sangat tua, tetapi tetap masih digunakan sebagai bahasa komunikasi sehari-hari hingga hari ini. “Dengan alasan ini maka wajar pula bila bahasa arab digunakan sebagai bahasa komunikasi internasional,” katanya.

Ketua Panitia Pagelaran Bahasa Arab M Hanif Lutfi menuturkan, acara yang akan diselenggarakan sampai Kamis (06/10) ini tujuannya agar bahasa arab dapat digunakan sebagai wahana berekspresi dan berkreasi “acara ini juga merupakan salah satu wahana untuk merekatkan mahasiswa studi Arab di seluruh Indonesia,” tuturnya.

Pembukaan acara didahului arak-arakan dan dimeriahkan tari-tarian Timur Tengah. Berbagai acara diselenggarakan dalam acara ini, antara lain lomba debat bahasa Arab tingkat Nasional, baca puisi bahasa arab, pidato bahasa arab, story feeling bahasa Arab, dan lomba kaligrafi. Pembukaan diawali pengguntingan pita oleh Pembantu Dekan Bidang Kemahasiswaan Dewa Made K dihadiri oleh pejabat fakultas, pengajar, dan mahasiswa Program Studi Bahasa Arab Unnes, serta perwakilan-perwakilan mahasiswa Program Studi Arab dari berbagai universitas di Indonesia.
