Usung Inovasi dalam Pembelajaran Fonetik, Mahasiswa FBS UNNES Raih Perak di Ajang Internasional

Tim mahasiswa Fakultas Bahasa dan Seni Universitas Negeri Semarang (FBS UNNES) meraih medali perak dalam Indonesia International IoT Olympiade tahun 2022 yang diselenggarakan Indonesian Young Scientist Association (IYSA), minggu lalu.

Tim yang beranggotakan Restu Aditia, Alif Farkhatunisa, Laila Margaretha Nur Habibah, Farizka Aulia Dianti, dan Rezkyma Syalfa. Kesemuanya merupakan mahasiswa Jurusan Bahasa dan Sastra Indonesia FBS UNNES. Mereka dibimbing oleh dosen di jurusan yang sama, Qurota Ayu Neina MPd dan mempresentasikan gagasan “Phonetic App: Sarana Penunjang Pembelajaran Fonetik di Jurusan Bahasa dan Sastra Indonesia Universitas Negeri Semarang.”

Pemanfaatan teknologi dinilai penting dalam perkuliahan karena semua mahasiswa memiliki gawai yang tak bisa lepas dari genggaman. Dalam pembelajaran fonetik yang diusung sebagai objek penelitian, sejumlah permasalahan membuat mereka menggagas media pembelajaran.

Kebiasaan menggenggam gawai perlu dimanfaatkan dalam proses pembelajaran agar perkembangan teknologi dapat membawa dampak baik di kehidupan mahasiswa. Media pembelajaran bertujuan untuk memanfaatkan teknologi dalam proses pembelajaran sehingga pembelajaran khususnya pembelajaran fonetik dapat berjalan dengan maksimal.

Qurota Ayu Neina menyatakan peserta lomba terdiri atas tim dari berbagai negara, antara lain dari Malaysia, Thailand, Amerika, Singapura, Saudi Arabia, Iran, dan Turki. Secara keseluran ada 13 tim yang berlaga dalam ajang ini. Neina mengatakan persiapan tim telah dilakukan beberapa minggu sebelum artikel tersebut dikirimkan kepada panitia. Ia berharap ke depan dapat meraih hasil lebih maksimal sehingga mampu mengharumkan nama lembaga di kancah internasional.

Rektor UNNES Prof Dr Fathur Rokhman MHum mengapresiasi capaian prestasi mahasiswa FBS UNNES di tingkat Internasional.

“Saya ucapkan selamat kepada mahasiswa FH UNNES yang telah meraih prestasi internasional. Semoga dapat membanggakan dan mengharumkan lembaga sebagai fakultas yang berwawasan konservasi dan bereputasi internasional,” ungkap Prof Dr Fathur Rokhman.

Ketua Jurusan Bahasa dan Sastra Indonesia FBS UNNES Dr Rahayu Pristiwati mengatakan jurusannya mendukung penuh keterlibatan mahasiswa dalam berbagai kompetisi, baik nasional maupun internasional. Pihaknya berkomitmen mendorong mahasiswa terus mengukir prestasi melalui upaya pendampingan intensif yang dilakukan para dosen.
