Usai Belajar Konservasi, Mahasiswa Asing Pentas Seni

Jari nan lentik, mata yang indah, serta gerak gemulai telah memukau penonton setelah melihat mahasiswa asing menari gambang semarang yang dipentaskan di beranda Auditorium Universitas Negeri Semarang (Unnes), Jumat (30/8).

Para penari itu adalah peserta Program Short Course of Environmental Conservation and Indonesian Culture (See-Conic).

Selain itu, acara juga diramaikan sajian musik dan beberapa lagu asli Thailand, Malaysia, Vietnam, dan jepang. Salah satunya Rum Wong dari Thailand, dalam tarian yang hampir mirip dengan tayub di Jawa ini, Rektor Unnes Prof Dr Fathur Rokhman MHum didaulat untuk ikut menari bersama mahasiswa Thailand.

Menurut Pengelola Program See-Conic Unnes Hendi Pratama MA, kegiatan ini menutup serangkaian kegiatan See-Conic 2013. Di Unnes mereka telah belajar banyak tentang konservasi budaya. “Bahkan mereka juga diajak berkunjung ke Candi Borobudur dan Prambanan,” katanya.

Prof Fathur juga mengungkapkan, program ini merupakan implementasi dari visi Unnes untuk go International, “ melalui kegiatan ini diharapkan Unnes semakin dikenal di luar negeri,” katanya, di hadapan para unsur pimpinan dan fungsionaris lembaga kemahasiswaan Unnes.

Ke depan, Prof Fathur berharap agar semua fakultas di Unnes bisa mengadakan kegiatan serupa sesuai dengan keunggulannya masing-masing. “Hal itu supaya mahasiswa Unnes dapat termotivasi untuk dapat berpartisipasi dalam mengembangkan Unnes menuju universitas  yang bertaraf internasional,” ungkapnya.

Kegiatan ini ditutup dengan gathering bersama 16 peserta program See-Conic. “Program ini berjalan lancar, semua peserta dapat berbaur dan larut dalam keceriaan,” kata Prof Fathur dalam sambutannya.
