Ingin Sukses Harus Tekun, Disiplin, dan Penuh Inspirasi

“Kata kunci untuk mencapai sebuah kesuksesan adalah kita harus tekun dan penuh inspirasi serta displin,” ungkap Valentino Napitupulu (praktisi perancang busana) dalam Seminar Nasional Jurusan Teknologi Jasa dan Produksi Fakultas Teknik Universitas Negeri Semarang (TJP FT Unnes) Sabtu (9/11).

Valentino yang merupakan perancang busana uniform berbagi tentang lika-liku kehidupannya hingga ia menjadi perancang busana yang terkenal seperti sekarang. “Hal yang tidak mudah untuk dapat menjadi perancang busana khususnya uniform, dimulai dari 2 mesin jahit di sebuah ruang tamu hingga menjadi perusahaan besar seperti saat ini”, tambahnya.

Seminar ini juga menghadirkan pembicara lain yang tidak kalah hebat pada masing-masing bidangnya, yaitu Dr Asih Kuswardinah MPd (Akademisi) dan Drs Abdul Halim (praktisi ahli make up karakter). Acara dibuka oleh Pembantu Rektor Bidang Akademik (PR I) Dr Agus Wahyudi, dan berlangsung di Hotel Grasia.

Seminar dengan tema “Membangun Karakter Entrepeneur Berbasis Konservasi dalam Bidang Boga, Busana, Kecantikan” ini memberikan fasilitas kepada mahasiswa dan masyarakat umum untuk memublikasikan hasil penelitian maupun kajian teoritis dengan sub tema (1) Konservasi pangan, sandang, dan rias, (2) Pengembangan kewirausahaan di bidang busana, boga, dan kecantikan, (3) Industri kreatif berwawasan konservasi, dan (4) Membangun Pendidikan Berkarakter.

MoU FT dengan Perusahaan Valentine
Dalam acara seminar juga ditandatangani Momerandum of Understanding (MoU) antara Dekan FT yang diwakili oleh Supratono Mpd dengan Valintino Napitupulu mewakili Perusahaan Valentine. MoU ini akan sangat menguntungkan bagi Unnes dikarenakan mahasiswa dapat magang di Perusahaan Valentine dan Valentine mengharuskan mahasiswa yang magang harus mempunyai sesuatu yang dibawa pulang ke Unnes sebagai hasil karyanya.

PR I berharap melalui seminar ini dapat tercipta perancang busana kondang dari jurusan TJP FT Unnes,dan ke depan lulusan dari jurusan TJP FT menjadi lulusan yang handal dan mampu bersaing di dunia kerja dalam bidangnya masing-masing.

Di akhir acara Valentino me-lounching buku pertamanya yang berjudul “The Art of Uniform”. Buku ini menampilkan 100 karya Valentino dan berbagai macam koleksi lainnya. “Semarang menjadi kota pertama dalam lounching buku ini,” ujar Valentino.
