UNS Juara National Ling Art Essay Competition 2013

Tim dari Universitas Sebelas Maret (UNS) Surakarta berhasil menjadi juara pada kompetisi penulisan esai nasional bertajuk National Ling Art Essy Competition 2013, Sabtu (30/11). Mia dan Penny, dua anggota kelompok tersebut, berhasil menyisihkan 37 tim lain yang berpartipasi pada kompetisi tahunan yang diselenggarakan Lingua Artistica Fakultas Bahasa dan Seni (FBS) Unnes tersebut.

Tim UNS menyajikan esai tentang Rumah Hebat Indonesia (RHI) sebagai basis pemberdayaan masyarakat di wilayah bantaran Bengawan Solo. Tidak sekadar gagasan, RHI diklaim telah berjalan dengan melibatkan warga, pemerintah setempat, dan donatur.

“Rumah Hebat Indonesia kami gagas untuk mengembangkan minat anak-anak di bantaran Bengawan Solo, khsusunya Kelurahan Rejosari, Ngemplak. Sebagai gerakan pemberdayaan masyarakat, kami fokus menggali minat anak-anak di sana,” kata Mia saat mempresentasikan esainya.

“RHI telah berjalan sejak Maret lalu. Awalnya hanya gerakan kecil yang dananya ditopang oleh para founder, kami berdua bagiannya. Gerakan ini menjadi besar karena sejumlah orang bergabung menjadi valounteer dan donator,” timpal Penny.

Akhmad Syaefudin MPd salah satu juri kompetisi tersebut menilai, Rumah Hebat Indonesia memiliki program yang sangat baik bagi masyarakat sekitar. “Programnya memang sederhana, seperti kelas melukis, kelas tetaer, fotografi, film, dan perkusi. Namun gagasan mereka sangat visible dan kebermanfaatnya sangat terasa,” katanya.

Selain tim UNS, juara pada kompetisi tersebut adalah tim Institut Teknologi Sepuluh November (ITS) Surabaya, tin Universitas Brawijaya (UB) Malang, dan tuan rumah Unnes.

Tim ITS menyodorkan pengembangan Mezon Company, perusahaan produsen pakan lele inovatif dengan kandungan nutrisi tinggi berharga murah. Tim UB menggagas Laskar antikorupsi sebagai gerakan sosial melawan korupsi di Tanah Air. Adapun tim Unnes menggagas permainan edukatif domino nusantara sebagai alternatif media pengenalan kebudayaan bangsa.

Dekan FBS Unnes Prof Dr Agus Nuryatin berharap menyampaikan selamat kepada para pemenang. Ia berharap gagasan-gagasan para peserta kompetisi tidak berakhir saat lomba diakhiri, namun terus dikembangkan sehingga memberi manfaat nyata kepada masyarakat.
