Kepala Humas Unnes Drs Bambang Priyono MPd melaporkan bahwa Universitas Negeri Semarang (Unnes) berhasil mengungkap kasus pemalsuan ijazah bersama Polsek Tamansari Glodok Jakarta. Hal ini berdasarkan keberhasilan Polsek Tamansari Glodok dalam membongkar sindikat pembuat ijazah palsu. Salah satu ijazah yang dipalsukan adalah ijazah yang dikeluarkan oleh Unnes dengan jenjang S1. Hasil investigasi yang dilakukan oleh kepolisian langsung ditindaklanjuti oleh Rektor Unnes dengan melakukan penelusuran dan pengecekan data.

Hasil penelusuran dan pengecekan kebenaran data kasus dugaan pemalsuan ijazah dan transkrip nilai ditemukan bahwa, ijazah dan transkrip diganti nama, kode keamanan tidak diganti, dan nomer seri juga tidak diganti. Nama yang tertera di ijazah dan transkrip tidak pernah terdaftar sebagai mahasiswa Unnes.

Rektor Unnes Prof Dr Fathur Rokhman MHum akan melaporkan temuan kepada penegak hukum agar yang bersangkutan, baik yang membuat maupun pengguna ijazah mendapatkan saksi hukum.

“Pemalsuan ijazahnya merupakan suatu tindakan pidana yang telah mencoreng dunia pendidikan. Rektor berharap kepada penegak hukum segera melakukan tindakan hukum sesuai dengan aturan yang berlaku,” ujar Prof Fathur Rokhman.

Menurut kepala UPT Humas Unnes, kini aparat kepolisian sudah menahan empat tersangka yang bertugas sebagai koordinator lapangan yang bertugas menerima order atau marketing, sedangkan otak pencetakan ijazah palsu masih dikejar pihak kepolisian.

Pihak kampus Unnes juga mengharapkan peran aktif masyarakat agar melaporkan keberadaan praktik-praktik pemalsuan ijazah.
“Jangan biarkan adanya oknum tertentu yang melakukan prakti-praktik ilegal berupa pemalsuan ijazah. Kepada pihak kepolisian, saya berharap agar diusut tuntas dan berikan tindakan tegas kepada orang-orang atau pihak penerbit dan pengguna ijazah palsu,” pungkas Rektor Unnes.
