UNNES Terima Mahasiswa UMPSA Malaysia dalam Short Course “Natura Scientia Camp Season 3”

Universitas Negeri Semarang (UNNES) menerima 14 mahasiswa Faculty of Computing Universiti Malaysia Pahang Al-Sultan Abdullah (UMPSA) dalam kegiatan Fakultas Matematika dan Ilmu Pengetahuan Alam (FMIPA) Short Course Program “Natura Scientia Camp Season 3” yang berlangsung pada 13-17 Desember 2025. Kegiatan ini merupakan bagian dari FMIPA Global Student Mobility Inbound Program.

Rombongan mahasiswa UMPSA secara resmi diterima di Ruang Rapat Rektor UNNES. Hadir menyambut dalam kegiatan tersebut Wakil Rektor I UNNES, Wakil Rektor IV UNNES, Kepala Urusan Internasional dan SDGs, serta Wakil Dekan I FMIPA UNNES.

Program Natura Scientia Camp Season 3 mengusung tema “Code, Craft, and Culture: Integrating Science, Technology, and Local Wisdom”, yang dilatarbelakangi oleh kebutuhan akan pendidikan sains yang kontekstual, inovatif, dan berbasis pengalaman lintas disiplin dengan nilai konservasi .

Program ini mengintegrasikan sains, teknologi, seni, serta warisan budaya lokal dalam proses pembelajaran.

Wakil Rektor I Bidang Akademik & Kemahasiswaan UNNES Prof. Dr. Zaenuri, M.Si., Akt., dalam sambutannya menyampaikan harapan agar kerja sama ini tidak berhenti pada kunjungan kali ini saja.

“Semoga kegiatan ini dapat menjadi awal kolaborasi yang berkelanjutan dan ke depan bisa disusul dengan kunjungan UNNES ke UMPSA,” ujarnya.

Sementara itu, Prof. Dr. Nur Qudus, M.T., IPM., Wakil Rektor IV Bidang Kerja Sama, Bisnis, & Hubungan Internasional menyampaikan apresiasi atas kehadiran mahasiswa UMPSA di UNNES.

“Empat hari adalah waktu yang cukup untuk berkolaborasi dan saling belajar. Kegiatan ini diharapkan dapat ditindaklanjuti ke program kerja sama lainnya. Terima kasih atas kehadiran dan kepercayaannya kepada UNNES,” ungkapnya.

Prof Nur Qudus juga menambahkan bahwa selain mengikuti rangkaian workshop akademik, kegiatan short course ini dapat diperkaya dengan aktivitas penanaman pohon bersama sebagai bentuk implementasi nilai konservasi selama berada di UNNES.

Selama pelaksanaan program, mahasiswa UMPSA akan mengikuti berbagai kegiatan, antara lain Serious Game Design, Gamelan Workshop yang mengintegrasikan musik tradisional dan sains bunyi, Build Simple IoT Prototype, serta Eco-print Workshop berbasis bahan alami.

Kegiatan tersebut dirancang untuk mendorong pembelajaran berbasis proyek dan konteks lokal.

Wakil Dekan I FMIPA UNNES, Zaenal Abidin, S.Si., M.Cs., Ph.D., menegaskan bahwa UNNES dikenal sebagai kampus konservasi, sehingga seluruh rangkaian kegiatan, selaras dengan nilai dan karakter institusi.

Program ini menargetkan luaran berupa pengalaman belajar interdisipliner, penguatan posisi FMIPA UNNES sebagai pelopor pendidikan berbasis konservasi, serta pengembangan flagship international program FMIPA di tingkat global

Saat ini, UNNES memiliki mahasiswa asing yang berasal dari 27 negara, yang menunjukkan komitmen UNNES dalam memperkuat internasionalisasi pendidikan tinggi dan jejaring global.

Melalui Natura Scientia Camp Season 3, UNNES dan UMPSA diharapkan dapat mempererat kerja sama akademik sekaligus mengembangkan kolaborasi berkelanjutan di bidang sains, teknologi, dan budaya berbasis kearifan lokal.
