UNNES Terima 162 Mahasiswa Program Pertukaran Mahasiswa Merdeka 2 Tahun 2022

Sebagai salah satu Perguruan Tinggi yang ikut dalam program Penerima Mahasiswa PMM (Pertukaran Mahasiswa Merdeka) di Jawa Tengah, Universitas Negeri Semarang (UNNES) menerima 162 mahasiswa dari 52 perguruan tinggi yang mengikuti (PMM) 2 Tahun 2022.

Kehadiran mahasiswa tersebut disambut dalam acara penyambutan mahasiswa program PMM 2 tahun 2022, langsung oleh Rektor UNNES Prof Dr Fathur Rokhman MHum di dampingi Wakil Rektor Bidang Akademik, Wakil Rektor Bidang Umum dan Keuangan serta Wakil Rektor Bidang Kemahasiswaan bertempat di Ruang Borobudur LPPM, Kamis (15/9).

Dalam sambutannya, Prof Fathur menyampaikan selamat datang kepada para peserta mahasiswa PMM 2 yang telah memilih UNNES menjadi PT tujuan berkuliah selama satu semester kedepan.

Prof Fathur mengatakan, menentukan pilihan di UNNES sebagai tujuan program PMM sangat tepat, karena diminati di Indonesia.

“Apa yang Saudara lakukan hari ini adalah perjuangan untuk meningkatkan kualitas diri. Jadi jangan sia-siakan kesempatan ini,” kata Prof Fathur.

Selain itu, Prof Fathur berharap mahasiswa dapat mengikuti perkuliahan dengan baik, dan memanfaatkan kesempatan tersebut untuk memperkuat bidang keilmuan yang dipelajari dari para dosen terbaik yang ada UNNES.

Wakil Rektor Bidang Akademik Prof Dr Zaenuri SE MSi Akt menjelaskan Pertukaran Mahasiswa Merdeka merupakan salah satu program dari Kementerian Pendidikan, Kebudayaan, Riset, dan Teknologi.

Prof Zaenuri mengatakan sengan mengikuti program ini, mahasiswa bisa mengikuti perkuliahan di luar program studi dan perguruan tingggi asal selama satu semester.

Mahasiswa program PMM bisa mengambil maksimal 20 SKS di perguruan tinggi penerima dan 6 SKS di perguruan tinggi pengirim secara luring.

Adapun tujuan dalam program tersebut yakni dalam rangka menyiapkan mahasiswa yang siap untuk menghadapi perubahan sosial, budaya, dunia kerja dan kemajuan teknologi yang pesat, kompetensi mahasiswa harus disiapkan untuk lebih siap menghadapi kebutuhan zaman. Dan diharapkan dalam program ini dapat menjadi jawaban atas tuntutan dengan adanya program Merdeka Belajar Kampus Merdeka (MBKM), pungkasnya.
