Tambah Lima Profesor Baru, Rektor: Tugas Berat Menunggu

Kabar gembira kembali diterima civitas akademika Universitas Negeri Semarang (Unnes). Universitas Konservasi ini kembali menambah jumlah profesornya, bahkan lima profesor sekaligus.

Kelima Profesor baru tersebut yakni Prof Dr Edy Cahyono MSi, Prof Dr Sarwi MSi, dan Prof Dr Ir Amin Retnoningsih MSi dari Fakultas Matematika dan Ilmu Pengetahuan Alam (FMIPA) serta Prof Dr Ir Bambang Haryadi MSc dan Prof Dr Sudarman MPd dari Fakultas Teknik (FT).

Penyerahan Surat Keputusan (SK) oleh Rektor Prof Dr Fathur Rokhman MHum, Senin (6/10) di Rektorat kampus Sekaran, Semarang.

Pada waktu penyerahan SK, Prof Dr Ir Bambang Haryadi MSc berhalangan hadir karena masih berada di Belanda.

Hadir, Ketua Senat Universitas Prof Dr Samsudi MPd, Ketua Komisi Profesor Prof Dr Maman Rachman MSc, Dekan FMIPA, Dekan FT diwakili PD I, Kepala Biro Administrasi Umum dan Kepegawaian, serta Kepala Bagian Hukum dan Kepegawaian.

Rektor Prof Fatur Rokhman mengatakan, menjadi seorang profesor itu mempunyai tugas dan kewajiban sangat berat. Kewajiban yang dipersyaratkan yakni menulis buku, menghasilkan karya ilmiah, dan menyebarluaskan gagasan.

Dalam menulis buku, kata Prof Fathur, harus diterbitkan oleh lembaga penerbit baik nasional maupun internasional yang mempunyai Internasional Standard of Book Numbering System (ISBN).

Sedangkan untuk menghasilkan karya ilmiah, juga diterbitkan dalam jurnal internasional bereputasi.

Adapun untuk menyebarluaskan gagasan dilakukan untuk mencerahkan masyarakat di antaranya dapat berupa publikasi karya pada jurnal ilmiah, sebagai pembicara pada seminar, melaksanakan pengembangan hasil pendidikan dan penelitian, memberi pelatihan, dan penyuluhan.

“Jika dalam kurun waktu tiga tahun seorang profesor tidak bisa memenuhi kewajiban itu maka tunjangan kehormatan profesor bisa diberhentikan sementara sesuai dengan Permendikbud Nomor 78/2013 tentang Pemberian Tunjangan Kehormatan bagi Dosen yang Menduduki Jabatan Akademis Profesor,”jelas Prof Fathur.
