Unnes-SMK Berbasis Pesantren Lakukan Penguatan

Kerjasama ini untuk meningkatkan kompetensi bagi Sekolah Menengah Kejuruan (SMK) berbasis pesantren. Perguruan tinggi berperan melakukan pendampingan dan kontrol pendidikan secara berkesinambungan.

Hal itu dikatakan Pembantu Rektor Bidang Pengembangan dan Kerjasama (PR IV) Universitas Negeri Semarang (Unnes) Prof Fathur Rokhman pada Workshop Pengembangan Pendidikan SMK Berbasis Pesantren, Rabu (12/5) di rektorat kampus Sekaran.

“Ini merupakan bentuk tindak lanjut dan penguatan antara Unnes dan SMK berbasis pesantren yang tekah melakukan kerjasama beberapa bulan yang lalu,” kata Prof Fathur Rokhman.

Prof Fathur Rokhman juga mengemukakan Unnes mempunyai 8 fakultas yakni Fakultas Ilmu Pendidikan, Fakultas Bahasa dan Seni, Fakultas Ilmu Sosial, Fakultas Matematika dan Ilmu Pengetahuan Alam, Fakultas Teknik, Fakultas Ilmu Keolahragaan, Fakultas Ekonomi, dan Fakultas Hukum.

Setelah dilakukan kerjasama dengan universitas, pondok pesantren bisa melakukan kerjasama langsung dengan fakultas mana yang dikehendaki sesuai kebutuhan masing-masing. Pengembangan SMK berbasis ponpes ini salah satu upaya membekali anak usia produktif supaya mampu segera bersaing di tingkat nasional maupun internasional.

Sementara itu, Koordinator SMK berbasis pesantren KH Mustamir menyampaikan pengembangan SMK berbasis pesantren ini merupakan amanat dari Menteri Pendidikan dan Kebudayaan, Unnes telah melaksanakan amanat ini dengan melakukan kerjasama kepada pondok pesantren se-Jawa Tengah (Jateng) dan Daerah Istimewa Yogyakarta (DIY).

KH Mustamir yang juga kepala pengasuh pondok pesantren Balai Kambang Jepara menambahkan, karena wilayahnya luas meliputi Jateng dan DIY maka perlu pembentukan pembagian wilayah (wilayah barat, timur, dan selatan) supaya mudak untuk berkoordinasi.

Ketua panita Supaat MPd melaporkan kegiatan ini merupakan menindaklanjuti kerjasama yang sudah ditandatangi beberapa bulan yang lalu.

Workshop ini diikuti puluhan orang dari dekan Unnes dan 24 SMK berbasis pesantren Se-Jawa Tengah, diantaranya SMK Walosongo Sragen, SMK Az Zahro’ Kendal, SMK Darul Amanah Sukoharjo, SMK Al Falah Salatiga, SMK As Shodiqiyah Semarang, SMK Futuhiyyah Mranggen Demak, dan SMK Miftahus Sa’adah Grobogan.

Pada akhir kegiatan dilakukan penyerahan Nota Kesepahaman kepada kepala SMK berbasis pesantren yang belum sempat hadir pada saat penandatangan Nota Kesepahaman.
