UNNES Siap Sambut Mahasiswa Asing Melalui The Indonesian AID Scholarship 2025

Universitas Negeri Semarang (UNNES) resmi ditunjuk sebagai salah satu dari 25 perguruan tinggi di Indonesia yang mengelola The Indonesian AID Scholarship Program (TIAS) tahun 2025. Pembahasan beasiswa TIAS digelar di Ruang Senat, Gedung Rektorat UNNES, pada Selasa (12/08/2025), sebagai langkah awal memperkuat reputasi global dan memperluas jejaring internasional.

TIAS merupakan program prestisius Pemerintah Republik Indonesia di bawah Grant Provision Program yang dikelola Lembaga Dana Kerja Sama Pembangunan Internasional (LDKPI) Kementerian Keuangan. Program ini bertujuan mendukung pencapaian Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), khususnya di bidang pendidikan, serta menjadi wujud komitmen Indonesia dalam memperkuat solidaritas, kerja sama, dan pembangunan bersama negara-negara mitra.

Direktur Investasi dan Penyaluran Dana (IPD) LDKPI, Iwan Nur Hidayat, menjelaskan bahwa TIAS diperuntukkan bagi Aparatur Sipil Negara (ASN) atau pegawai negeri dari negara-negara mitra Indonesia.

“Tahun ini kami menargetkan lebih dari 150 mahasiswa asing dari kawasan Asia Pasifik, Amerika Latin, dan Afrika untuk menempuh studi di kampus-kampus Indonesia. Kehadiran mereka diharapkan menjadi jembatan diplomasi pendidikan sekaligus mempererat hubungan antarbangsa,” ujarnya.

Iwan menambahkan bahwa penerima beasiswa TIAS diharapkan menjadi calon pemimpin di bidangnya masing-masing di negara asal. Program ini, lanjutnya, akan terus diperkaya agar mampu memberikan pengakuan internasional yang lebih luas bagi perguruan tinggi Indonesia sekaligus mendorong kemajuan pendidikan nasional.

Kepala SDGs dan Kantor Urusan Internasional UNNES, Alfath Yanuarto, S.Kom., menyampaikan rasa syukur atas kepercayaan ini.

“Kami berharap pada tahun pertama ini, UNNES dapat memperoleh anggota cukup banyak, mengingat kuota nasional tahun 2025 mencapai 176. Targetnya, minimal lebih dari enam mahasiswa asing penerima beasiswa TIAS bergabung di UNNES. Kehadiran mereka diharapkan dapat memperkaya suasana akademik dan memperluas jaringan internasional UNNES,” ungkapnya.

UNNES telah menyiapkan berbagai langkah untuk menyambut mahasiswa asing penerima TIAS, mulai dari peningkatan layanan internasional, penyediaan pendampingan akademik, hingga program pengenalan budaya Indonesia dan Semarang. Hal ini dilakukan agar mahasiswa dapat beradaptasi dengan baik, sekaligus mendapatkan pengalaman belajar yang berkualitas.

Dengan keikutsertaan dalam program TIAS 2025, UNNES optimistis dapat memperluas jejaring internasional, memperkaya suasana akademik, dan memperkuat posisi sebagai universitas bereputasi dunia. Kehadiran mahasiswa asing diharapkan tidak hanya membawa dampak positif bagi reputasi kampus, tetapi juga menjadi jembatan persahabatan antara Indonesia dan negara-negara mitra.
