UNNES Selengarakan Webinar Nasonal Bela Negara Melawan Covid-19 dan Hate Speech dalam Era Kenormalan Baru

Universitas Negeri Semarang (UNNES) bekerja sama dengan Forum Rektor Penguat Karakter Bangsa (FRPKB) menyelenggarakan Webinar Nasional yang mengangkat tema “Bela Negara Melawan Covid-19 dan Hate Speech dalam Era Kenormalan Baru”, secara daring, Selasa (31/8).

Webinar ini menghadirkan Prof Dr Karomani MSi Rektor UNILA, Ketua Forum Rektor Penguat Karakter Bangsa, Laksamana Madya TNI Prof Dr Ir Amarulla Octavia ST MSc DESD Rektor Universitas Pertahanan, dan Prof drh Wiku Adisasmito MSc PhD Juru Bicara Satuan Tugas Penanganan COVID-19.

Rektor UNNES Prof Dr Fathur Rokhman MHum dalam sambutannya menyampaikan era distrubsi menjadi tantangan pendidikan.

“Kita tahu bahwa era disrupsi kini semakin maju, tantangan dalam industri 4.0, global competitiveness, pandemi covid-19, dan Character Building. Ini merupakan tantang bersama dan tanggung jawab perguruan tinggi di indonesia dan webinar ini menjadi bagian dalam upaya menyiapkan civitas akademika yang memiliki karakter kuat untuk bisa membela negara melawan Covid-19 dan hate speech dalam era Kenormalan Baru,” tutur Prof Fathur.

Prof Fathur menuturkan penangkalan paham radikalisme di Perguruan Tinggi dapat dilakukan dengan pembinaan karakter mahasiswa.

“Ancaman radikalisme di Perguruan tinggi perlu diwaspadai namun hal tersebut dapat diatasi dengan pembinaan karakter mahasiswa salah satunya melalui program bela negara dan penanaman nilai-nilai arif yang telah diintregasikan dalam pembelajaran”.

Sementara, Prof Dr Karomani menyampaikan soluasi untuk tetap mempertahankan NKRI dari paham radikaslime dengan cara kolaborasi antar aktor dalam quadruple helix model.

“Model ini bisa kita terapkan dengan cara berkolaborasi pemerintah, akademisi, ormas, serta peran media dalam penguatan ketahanan nasional,” jelasnya.

Dalam kesempatan yang sama, aksamana Madya TNI Prof Dr Ir Amarulla Octavia mengatakan untuk membela negara dan melawan pandemi covid-19 masyarakat tidak boleh lemah.

Sementara itu, untuk melawan pandemi Prof drh Wiku Adisasmito MSc PhD menyampaikan Perguruan Tinggi memiliki peran vital dalam melawan pandemi covid-19 dengan cara berkolaborasi pentahelix.

“Akademisi berperan untuk menenangkan masyarakat, menyebarkan pesan, dan mengedukasi masyarakat terkait dengan kebijakan menggunakan bahasa yang mudah dipahami tanpa menyebabkan kekhawatiran masyarakat. Kemudian, ikut terlibat aktif sebagai relawan dan mitra kritis pengendalian covid-19. Mahasiswa dan dosen dapat berpartisipasi sebagai duta perubahan perilaku dan relawan vaksinator. Para tenaga ahli seperti UNNES dapat melakukan pengembangan pengendalian Covid-19 melalui kajian-kajian ilmiah, dan berkolaborasi dengan masyarakat sekitar universitas untuk menggalang partisipasi seluruh elemen masyarakat dengan didampingi unsur Universitas untuk mempercepat pengendalian Covid-19”.

Selain itu, Prof drh Wiku menyampaikan strategi bangsa menghadapi pandemic dengan cara bersatu lawan Covid-19.

“Semua harus bersatu melawan Covid-19. Kalau kita tidak bersatu maka akan sulit untuk mampu menyelesaikan persoalan yang kita hadapi saat ini. Untuk itu kami mengajak semua elemen pemerintah, media, intansi swatsa, masyarakat serta akademisi,” tutur Prof drh Wiku.
