Unnes Sediakan 1.858 Kursi dari SBMPTN

Pendaftaran Seleksi Bersama Masuk Perguruan Tinggi Negeri (SBMPTN) 2016 dimulai hari ini, Senin (25/4) pukul 08.00 hingga 20 Mei pukul 22.00 WIB mendatang. Untuk jalur ini, Universitas Negeri Semarang (Unnes) menyediakan 1.858 kursi atau 30 persen dari kuota keseluruhan penerimaan mahasiswa baru Unnes tahun ini, yakni 6.285 kursi.

Menurut Wakil Rektor Bidang Akademik Unnes Prof Dr Rustono Mhum, Unnes menerima mahasiswa baru melalui tiga jalur, yakni SNMPTN, SBMPTN, dan Seleksi Mandiri Unnes (UM Unnes). Dari SNMPTN, Unnes sudah menjaring sebanyak 2.474 kursi (40 persen) sisanya, 1.952 orang (30 persen) melalui seleksi mandiri. “Mereka akan diterima di 74 program studi (prodi) yang tersebar di delapan fakultas,” jelasnya, Senin (25/4).

Berbeda dengan tahun lalu, menurut dia, tahun ini panitia SBMPTN 2016 menyediakan dua metode ujian. Peserta bisa memilih ujian menggunakan paper based test (PBT) maupun computer based test (CBT). Peserta CBT hanya bisa mengikuti kelompok bidang sains dan teknologi (saintek) atau sosial dan humaniora (soshum). Sedangkan yang mengambil campuran hanya tersedia ujian PBT. “Di Unnes, penyelenggaraan CBT hanya tersedia untuk 100 peserta,” kata Prof Rus, panggilan akrabnya.

Prof Rus menambahkan, lewat SBMPTN, pendaftar juga bisa memperebutkan beasiswa Bidikmisi. Program tersebut merupakan beasiswa penuh yang membuat penerimanya terbebas dari segala biaya kuliah selama delapan semester. Bahkan, mereka juga menerima bantuan biaya hidup Rp 600 ribu per bulan.

“Minimal 620 paket beasiswa Bidikmisi akan dikucurkan oleh Unnes tahun ini. Namun demikian Unnes masih mengajukan tambahan kuota untuk beasiswa Bidikmisi ini,” imbuhnya.
