UNNES Sambut 95 Mahasiswa Inbound PMM

Universitas Negeri Semarang (UNNES) dengan penuh semangat menyambut kedatangan 95 mahasiswa dari 38 perguruan tinggi di Indonesia sebagai bagian dari Program Pertukaran Mahasiswa Merdeka (PMM). Para mahasiswa “inbound” ini akan menjalani pengalaman akademik yang berharga selama satu semester di lingkungan kampus UNNES, Rabu (23/08/2023).

Pertukaran Mahasiswa Merdeka merupakan program pertukaran mahasiswa selama satu semester dari satu klaster daerah ke klaster daerah lainnya yang memberikan pengalaman ke-bhinekaan dan sistem alih kredit maksimal sebanyak 20 sks. Program ini memberikan kesempatan kepada para mahasiswa untuk menjalani pertukaran keilmuan dan pengalaman di berbagai klaster daerah, sambil mengembangkan pemahaman tentang budaya, ke-bhinekaan, dan sistem pendidikan yang beragam.

Turut hadir, Prof. Dr. Zaenuri, M.Si., Wakil Rektor bidang Akademik dan Kemahasiswaan UNNES yang memberikan semangat dan motivasi kepada mahasiswa inbound PMM.

“Kami dengan gembira menerima kehadiran 95 mahasiswa inbound PMM di UNNES. Selamat datang di lingkungan akademik kami yang sarat dengan pengetahuan, keberagaman, dan semangat belajar. Kami berharap semester yang akan dijalani bersama ini menjadi pengalaman yang tak terlupakan bagi para mahasiswa,” ungkap Prof. Zaenuri.

Para mahasiswa inbound PMM ini telah melewati seleksi ketat sebelum dipilih untuk bergabung dalam program ini. Mereka merupakan 95 mahasiswa terbaik dari 1.900 pendaftar di UNNES. Kriteria seleksi dalam program ini meliputi prestasi akademik, kemampuan komunikasi, serta minat dan motivasi dalam mengikuti program pertukaran. Setelah melewati proses seleksi yang kompetitif, mereka siap memulai perjalanan akademik yang mengubah pandangan mereka tentang pendidikan dan budaya.

Koordinator PMM UNNES, Thohiriyah, S.S., M.Hum. menyebut, UNNES menawarkan 181 mata kuliah di semua fakultas bagi mahasiswa inbound PMM.

“UNNES telah menyiapkan 181 mata kuliah yang bisa dipilih. Pada semester ini, para mahasiswa inbound PMM akan mengikuti mata kuliah sesuai bidang studi dan minat mereka, berinteraksi dengan sesama mahasiswa UNNES, dan berpartisipasi dalam kegiatan akademik serta budaya yang beragam,” ujar Dosen Sastra Inggris tersebut.

PMM dirancang untuk tidak hanya memperdalam pengetahuan akademik, tetapi juga memperluas jaringan sosial, merangsang kreativitas, dan melatih adaptabilitas dalam menghadapi lingkungan yang baru. Para mahasiswa yang mengambil bagian dalam program ini akan dihadapkan pada pengalaman belajar yang unik, di mana mereka dapat menjelajahi berbagai perspektif ilmu pengetahuan, budaya, dan gaya hidup yang berbeda dari tempat asal mereka.
