UNNES Sambut 48 Mahasiswa Internasional Penerima Beasiswa dari Berbagai Skema

Universitas Negeri Semarang (UNNES) kembali memperkuat kiprahnya di tingkat global dengan menerima 48 mahasiswa internasional baru pada tahun akademik 2025. Acara penerimaan berlangsung pada Jumat (12/09/2025) di Ruang 405 Gedung Rektorat UNNES dengan suasana hangat dan penuh semangat.

Mahasiswa internasional yang diterima tahun ini berasal dari berbagai negara dengan latar belakang akademik yang beragam. Mereka akan menempuh studi di sejumlah program studi UNNES melalui program degree maupun non-degree. Kehadiran mereka diharapkan dapat memperkaya atmosfer akademik sekaligus menjadi jembatan persahabatan lintas budaya di lingkungan kampus konservasi.

Sebanyak 35 mahasiswa akan menempuh studi pada program degree, meliputi jenjang S1, S2, dan S3. Dari jumlah tersebut, 15 mahasiswa merupakan penerima Beasiswa International Undergraduate Program (IUP), tujuh mahasiswa memperoleh Beasiswa NEXTShip untuk jenjang S2 dan S3, serta empat mahasiswa mengikuti Beasiswa Kemitraan Negara Berkembang (KNB). Selain itu, sembilan mahasiswa lainnya memilih untuk berkuliah di UNNES dengan biaya mandiri.

Selain program degree, UNNES juga menerima 13 mahasiswa pada program non-degree, khususnya kelas Bahasa Indonesia bagi Penutur Asing (BIPA). Mereka terdiri dari lima mahasiswa penerima Beasiswa KNB dan delapan mahasiswa yang memperoleh Beasiswa TIAS (The Indonesian Aid Scholarship). Kehadiran mahasiswa non-degree ini menunjukkan daya tarik UNNES sebagai pusat pembelajaran bahasa dan budaya Indonesia.

Dalam sambutannya, Wakil Rektor Bidang Kerja Sama, Bisnis, dan Hubungan Internasional, Prof. Dr. Nur Qudus, M.T., IPM., menekankan komitmen UNNES untuk mendukung pengembangan akademik dan pengalaman budaya mahasiswa internasional.

“Kehadiran mahasiswa asing di UNNES tidak hanya memperkuat jejaring akademik, tetapi juga mempererat persahabatan antarbangsa. Kami berharap mereka dapat membawa pengalaman berharga dari UNNES untuk kemudian berkontribusi di negara masing-masing,” ujarnya.

Selama ini UNNES menjadi salah satu tujuan studi mahasiswa asing berkat reputasinya dalam bidang pendidikan, riset, dan budaya konservasi. Dukungan beasiswa dari berbagai lembaga nasional dan internasional semakin memperluas kesempatan mahasiswa asing untuk menimba ilmu di kampus ini.

Dengan penerimaan 48 mahasiswa internasional baru, UNNES menegaskan komitmennya dalam memperluas jaringan akademik global sekaligus meningkatkan daya saing internasional. Langkah ini selaras dengan visi UNNES untuk menjadi universitas bereputasi dunia dan pelopor kecemerlangan pendidikan yang berwawasan konservasi.
