UNNES Peringkat 5 dalam Peringkat UI GreenMetric 2023

Komitmen Universitas Negeri Semarang (UNNES) dalam Keberlanjutan lingkungan terus ditingkatkan. Keseriusan ini ditunjukkan UNNES dengan mengikuti ajang UI GreenMetric World University atau pemeringkatan internasional pengelolaan kampus.

UI GreenMetric World University merupakan sebuah usaha dalam mengukur keberlanjutan yang menggambarkan kebijakan dan program keberlanjutan yang dimiliki oleh Perguruan Tinggi.

UNNES telah berpartisipasi dalam UI GreenMetric sejak pertama kali ajang ini dimulai pada tahun 2010. Dalam penganugerahan tahun ini UNNES berhasil meraih peringkat 5, naik 1 peringkat dari tahun lalu. Perolehan anugerah diumumkan dalam acara Pengumuman dan Pemberian Anugerah UI GreenMetric Indonesia 2023 yang berlokasi di Unhas Hotel and Convention Makassar Sulawesi Selatan (30/11).

Penghargaan ini diterima langsung oleh Wakil Rektor IV UNNES Prof. Dr. Nur Qudus, M.T., IPM.

Pengisian indikator telah dilakukan pada tanggal 15 Mei hingga 31 Oktober 2023, yang dipantau oleh Subdirektorat Konservasi UNNES. Penilaian dilakukan berdasar tiga pilar yaitu lingkungan hidup, ekonomi dan sosial dengan menggunakan sejumlah indikator, yang terdiri dari penataan dan infrastruktur (15%), energi dan perubahan iklim (21%), limbah (18%), air (10%), transportasi (18%), serta pendidikan dan penelitian (18%).

Rektor UNNES, Prof. S. Martono berterima kasih kepada semua sivitas akademik yang telah bersama-sama berkomitmen dalam membuat UNNES menjadi kampus hijau yang ramah lingkungan. Hal ini juga sejalan dengan misi UNNES menjadi kampus berwawasan konservasi dan bereputasi dunia.

Dengan prestasi ini diharapkan akan memberi motivasi bagi UNNES untuk terus melakukan kontribusi dalam mengimplementasikan prinsip keberlanjutan.
