Peserta SM3T Harus Pelopori Perubahan di Daerah

Peserta program Sarjana Mendidik di daerah Terdepan, Terluar, dan Tertinggal (SM3T) semestinya meninggalkan jejak bagi masyarakat di tempat pengabdiannya. Sebagai pendidik, mereka harus meninggalkan kesan, inspirasi, dan mampu menjadi pelopor perubahan di daerah.

Saran ini disampaikan  Prof Dr Soegiyanto KS setelah memonitoring program SM3T di Desa Gugop, Kecamatan Pulo Aceh, Kabupaten Aceh Besar. Sebagai seorang pendidik, mahasiswa SM3T harus bersyukur karena diberi kesempatan mengabdi di daerah yang terluar dan terdepan dari kepulauan Indonesia.

“Mereka harus bisa meninggalkan jejak-jejak baik untuk daerah pengabdian sebagai bekal program Pendidikan Profesi Guru (PPG) ke depannya dan menjadi pelopor dari penjelasan Kurikulum 2013,” ujarnya.

Monitoring dan evaluasi program SM3T angkatan ke-3 dilakukan serentak di enam wilayah yakni Kabupaten Aceh Besar, Kabupaten Landak (Kalimantan Barat), Kabupaten Manggarai Nusa Tenggara Timur (NTT), Kabupaten Ende (NTT), serta Kabupaten Yakuhimo dan Kabupaten Paniai (Papua). Monev dilakukan selama empat hari, dari tanggal 21-24 Januari 2014.

Wakil Bupati Aceh Besar Drs Syamsul Rizal MKes mengatakan, penempatan mahasiswa SM3T Unnes di Pulo Aceh ini tidak diragukan lagi karena sudah mengabdikan diri, bersosialisasi, dan beradaptasi dengan masyarakat sekitar.

“Keberadaan mahasiswa SM3T sangat membantu dalam ranah pendidikan formal maupun informal. Ke depan, pemerintah Aceh Besar akan membuka sekolah-sekolah unggul karena mahasiswa dapat memotivasi siswa belajar di sekolah,” katanya.

Sarjana mengajar di tempat itu juga melakukan program konservasi penanaman seribu pohon di Pulo Aceh Besar yang  akan dilakukan secara bertahap di berbagai kecamatan.

Berkaitan dengan jumlah peserta SM3T yang diterjunkan di Aceh Besar, Wakil Bupati memohon kepada Unnes supaya jumlahnya ditambah. “Karena banyak sekolah di Aceh Besar ini masih memerlukan guru,” katanya.

Senada dengan Wakil Bupati, Kepala Dinas Pendidikan Kabupaten Aceh Besar Drs Razali menyampaikan, mahasiswa SM3T diharapkan bisa mengisi kekosongan tenaga pendidik di Pulo Aceh pada khususnya dan Aceh Besar pada umumnya.

Dia meminta kepada para sarjana mendidik sebelum mengajar harus mempersiapkan apa yang akan diajarkan untuk anak didiknya sehingga punya rencana yang jelas setiap pembelajarannya.

Razali juga mengingatkan selama kegiatan belajar mengajar, jangan lupa membuat perangkat pembelajaran seperti Silabus, rencana pelaksanaan pembelajaran (RPP), dan media pembelajaran.
