Unnes Juara Umum Woodball Jabar Open III

Unnes Woodball Club menjadi juara umum pada acara bergengsi Turnamen Woodball Jabar Open III dan Piala Kavaleri II 2012 di lapangan Woodball Mapussenkav Jalan Ciremai No. 9 Bandung. Kegiatan berlangsung selama empat hari yakni Kamis-Minggu (5-8/4).

Hal itu dikatakan Drs Kriswantoro, MPd dosen pendamping Woodball Universita Negeri Semarang (Unnes), yang juga pelatih nasional woodball yang juga sekaligus menjadi atlet kepada reporter unnes.ac.id, Selasa (17/4).

“Pengiriman atlet untuk mengikuti turnamen Woodball Jabar Open III dan Piala Kavaleri II ini merupakan sarana yang tepat sebagai parameter keberhasilan latihan para anggota tim Woodball Unnes dan pencapaian prestasi, diharapkan akan membawa nama baik Indonesia dan almamater Unnes itu sendiri” kata Kriswantoro.

Kriswantoro juga mengemukakan keikutsertaan tim woodball Unnes ini bertujuan untuk mengangkat nama Indonesia di kancah Internasional melalui olahraga Woodball, membawa nama almamater Perguruan Tinggi di Indonesia pada umumnya dan Unnes khususnya.

Selain itu juga untuk mengukur prestasi atlet-atlet Woodball Unnes, merupakan bagian dari seleknas untuk Asian Beach Games 2012 di Cina, persiapan kejuaraan Asian University 2012 di Unnes, dan memasyarakatkan olahraga Woodball terutama pada mahasiswa.

Adapun kejuaraan yang diraih dalam Turnamen Woodball Jabar Open III dan Piala Kavaleri II 2012 sebagai berikut:

3. Juara II : Dwi Tiga Putri (Alumni Unnes)

3. Juara III : Komang S. (Kostrad DKI)
