UNNES Gelar Workshop Strategi Meraih Dana Hibah Riset Internasional 2025

Universitas Negeri Semarang (UNNES) melalui Lembaga Penelitian dan Pengabdian kepada Masyarakat (LP2M) menggelar Workshop Series bertajuk “Strategy for Winning International Research Grant 2025” pada Senin (28/07/2025) di Ruang Borobudur, Lantai 3 Gedung LP2M UNNES.

Kegiatan ini dibuka oleh Prof. Dr. R. Benny Riyanto, S.H., M.Hum., selaku Kepala LP2M UNNES. Dalam sambutannya, ia menegaskan komitmen UNNES dalam memperkuat posisinya sebagai universitas bereputasi internasional melalui penguatan riset yang berkualitas dan berdampak secara global.

“Universitas Negeri Semarang terus berkomitmen untuk memperkuat posisinya sebagai universitas yang bereputasi internasional. Salah satu pihak utama dalam membuktikan hal tersebut adalah melalui penguatan riset internasional yang berkualitas serta berdampak,” ujar Prof. Benny.

Workshop ini menghadirkan narasumber utama Assoc. Prof. Francesca Salvi, Associate Professor in Education, Faculty of Social Sciences, University of Nottingham, UK. Ia berbagi wawasan mendalam mengenai strategi penyusunan proposal hibah riset internasional, khususnya yang sesuai dengan lembaga pendanaan asal Inggris.

Dipandu oleh moderator Assoc. Prof. Zulfa Sakhiyya, Associate Professor in English Education, Fakultas Bahasa dan Seni UNNES, workshop ini menjadi ajang penting bagi para dosen untuk memahami dinamika dan kultur pendanaan riset global.

Dalam pemaparannya, Prof. Salvi menjelaskan berbagai lembaga pendanaan di Inggris beserta karakteristik dan fokus masing-masing. Ia juga menyampaikan sejumlah bidang prioritas yang saat ini menjadi perhatian lembaga pendanaan, antara lain isu perubahan iklim dan lingkungan, perkembangan digital dan kecerdasan buatan dalam masyarakat, kecerdasan buatan dan masyarakat, isu-isu pendidikan anak dan remaja, ketimpangan sosial serta inklusi dan keadilan, hingga pendekatan interdisipliner dan systems thinking. Menurutnya, pemilihan topik yang relevan sangat penting agar proposal riset memiliki peluang lebih besar untuk didanai.

Selain itu, ia menekankan pentingnya rekam jejak penelitian (track record) yang kuat untuk dapat bersaing dalam hibah internasional.

“Untuk membangun rekam jejak, mulailah dari hal kecil dan susun strategi secara bertahap. Ajukan pendanaan awal dan ambil peran sebagai pemimpin atau wakil pemimpin dalam proyek percontohan yang bisa menghasilkan data atau bukti awal dari ide yang diusulkan. Pemberi dana ingin melihat bukti bahwa Anda bisa mewujudkan apa yang dijanjikan, meskipun dalam skala terbatas,” ungkapnya.

Melalui workshop ini, diharapkan para dosen UNNES memperoleh pemahaman praktis dan menyeluruh dalam menyusun proposal penelitian yang kompetitif, relevan, dan selaras dengan prioritas lembaga pendanaan internasional.
