UNNES Gelar Monev Mahasiswa Internasional, Dorong Kelulusan Tepat Waktu dan Kolaborasi

Universitas Negeri Semarang (UNNES) menyelenggarakan kegiatan Monitoring dan Evaluasi (Monev) aktivitas akademik dan non-akademik mahasiswa internasional semester genap 2025/2026 pada Rabu, 1 April 2026 di Gedung H UNNES. Kegiatan ini diikuti oleh seluruh mahasiswa internasional program degree dan non-degree yang sedang menempuh studi di UNNES.

Acara tersebut dihadiri oleh Wakil Rektor I UNNES Prof. Dr. Zaenuri S.E., M.Si., Akt., Direktur pada Direktorat Akademik, Kemahasiswaan, dan Konservasi, Kepala dan Sekretaris Kantor Urusan Internasional (KUI) dan SDGs, serta para Wakil Dekan I dari berbagai fakultas di lingkungan UNNES. Kegiatan ini menjadi forum evaluasi sekaligus penguatan peran mahasiswa internasional dalam mendukung capaian akademik dan non-akademik selama masa studi.

Berdasarkan data yang dipaparkan, jumlah mahasiswa internasional di UNNES terdiri atas 84 mahasiswa program degree dan 12 mahasiswa non-degree yang tersebar di berbagai fakultas, di antaranya FEB, FBS, FT, FMIPA, FISIP, FIPP, FH, FIK, FK, dan SPS.

Selain capaian tersebut, juga disampaikan sejumlah kendala yang dihadapi mahasiswa internasional, seperti pemilihan dosen pembimbing terutama untuk jenjang S2 dan S3, kebutuhan penggunaan bahasa Inggris dalam perkuliahan yang melibatkan mahasiswa internasional, serta keterlibatan mahasiswa internasional di tingkat program studi dan fakultas yang belum maksimal.

Dalam arahannya, Wakil Rektor I menekankan pentingnya kelulusan tepat waktu bagi mahasiswa internasional dengan manajemen waktu yang baik selama masa studi.

“Pentingnya membangun kolaborasi, baik dengan sesama mahasiswa internasional maupun mahasiswa Indonesia, karena hal tersebut dapat mendukung proses belajar dan penyelesaian studi. Kami juga berharap mahasiswa tidak hanya fokus pada aspek akademik, tetapi turut aktif dalam berbagai kegiatan lain, serta setelah lulus dapat berperan sebagai duta Indonesia di negara asalnya,” imbuh Prof. Zaenuri.

Lebih lanjut, disampaikan bahwa terdapat perbedaan ketentuan kelulusan khususnya pada jenjang S2 dan S3 yang harus dipenuhi sesuai dengan program studi masing-masing. Setelah menyelesaikan studi, mahasiswa internasional diharapkan dapat bekerja atau kembali ke negara asal serta berperan sebagai duta Indonesia yang mampu mempromosikan nilai-nilai dan pengalaman belajar di UNNES.

Kegiatan kemudian dilanjutkan dengan sesi tanya jawab antara mahasiswa internasional dengan pimpinan fakultas, termasuk Wakil Dekan I, terkait berbagai kendala yang dihadapi selama proses studi. Diskusi ini menjadi ruang bagi mahasiswa untuk menyampaikan pengalaman dan tantangan secara langsung, sekaligus mencari solusi bersama guna meningkatkan kualitas layanan akademik dan non-akademik di lingkungan UNNES.

Melalui kegiatan ini, UNNES berharap mahasiswa internasional dapat menyelesaikan studi dengan baik, aktif berkolaborasi, serta membawa nama baik Indonesia di kancah global sebagai representasi kampus konservasi bereputasi internasional.
