UNNES Gelar Kejuaraan Woodball Nasional, Diikuti Ratusan Atlet dari 23 Perguruan Tinggi

Fakultas Ilmu Keolahragaan Universitas Negeri Semarang (FIK UNNES) menggelar Kejuaraan Woodball Antar Perguruan Tinggi Se Indonesia Tahun 2022.

Kejuaraan ini dilaksanakan selama 3 hari dari hari tanggal 22 – 24 juli 2022 yang bertempat di lapangan Prof Dumadi FIK UNNES.

Diikuti 103 atlet terdiri dari 52 atlet putra dan 51 atlet putri dari 23 perguruan tinggi yang ada di seluruh Indonesia. Nomor yang dipertandingkan dalam kejuaraan ini sebanyak 12 nomor pertandingan terdiri dari 7 nomor Stroke Competition dan 5 nomor fairway Competition.

Dibuka oleh Wakil Rektor Bidang Kemahasiswaan Dr Abdurrahman MPd menyampaikan kegiatan ini bertujuan meningkatkan prestasi atlet woodball mahasiswa di perguruan tinggi se-indonesia.

“UNNES selalu memfasilitasi rangkaian kegiatan yang dilakukan mahasiswa seperti kejuaraan Woodball kali ini. Dari sini lah skill para mahasiswa dan juga kontribusi terhadap ilmu keolahragaan bisa dikembangkan oleh mahasiswa,” kata Wakil Rektor Bidang Kemahasiswaan.

Selain itu, Dr Abdurrahman mengatakan kejuaraan ini juga sebagai wadah pengembangan organisasi keolahragaan dilingkungan kemahasiswaan dan guna menumbuhkan rasa kekeluargaan serta menjalin silaturahmi dalam olahraga menuju prestasi nasional maupun internasional.

“Kegiatan ini menjadi event tahunan UNNES untuk bisa menghasilkan atlet-atlet yang menorehkan prestasi yang gemilang bagi Indonesia serta menjadi motivasi yang kuat UNNES melahirkan atlet Woodball yang mendunia,” pungkas Wakil Rektor bidang Kemahasiswaan.

Hadir dalam kegiatan Dekan FIK UNNES Prof Tandiyono Rahayu MPd, Sekjen Pengurus Besar Indonesia Woodball Association (IwbA) Sutarjo, Ketua Pengprov IWbA Jawa Tengah Ardana Arifianto SE dan Pembina UKM Woodball UNNES Drs Kriswantoro MPd.
