Unnes Buka Pendidikan Ilmu Pengetahuan Sosial S1

Universitas Negeri Semarang (Unnes) menerima mahasiswa Program Studi Pendidikan Ilmu Pengetahuan Sosial (IPS) S1 melalui Seleksi Bersama Masuk perguruan Tinggi Negeri (SBMPTN) 2014. Penerimaan tersebut dibuka menyusul dibukanya program studi terbaru di Fakultas Ilmu Sosial (FIS).

Pembantu Dekan Bidang Akademik FIS Dr Eko Handoyo mengemukakan, Prodi Pendidikan IPS S1 dibuka berdasarkan izin pembukaan dari Menteri Pendidikan dan Kebudayaan RI Nomor 03/E/0/2014. “Pembukaan ini selaras dengan kebutuhan riil tenaga pendidik bidang studi Ilmu Pengetahuan Sosial, terutama di jenjang SMP, berdasarkan kurikulum terbaru,” ungkapnya, Selasa (20/5), di kampus Sekaran.

Dikemukakan pula, dalam SBMPTN yang pendaftarannya sedang berjalan dan akan berlangsung hingga 6 Juni mendatang, program studi yang masuk dalam kelompok Sosial Humaniora ini menyediakan 30 kursi mahasiswa baru. “Sisanya atau 20 kursi akan kami sediakan melalui Seleksi Mandiri (SPMU),” katanya.

Sekadar catatan, dalam penerimaan mahasiswa baru tahun ini, Unnes membuka tiga skema, yakni Seleksi Nasional Masuk pergutruan Tinggi Negeri (SNMPTN), SBMPTN, dan Seleksi Mandiri (SPMU). Lewat ketiga jalur tersebut, Unnes akan menerima 6.390 mahasiswa baru. Hasil SNMPTN akan diumumkan 27 Mei mendatang di laman unnes.ac.id, pendaftaran SBMPTN 12 Mei-6 Juni 2014, sedangkan pendaftaran Seleksi Mandiri 2 Juni – 22 Juli 2014.
