Unnes Bina Mahasiswa Bidikmisi

Universitas Negeri Semarang (Unnes) melakukan pembinaan terhadap mahasiswa penerima beasiswa Bidikmisi, Minggu (17/3), di auditorium kampus Sekaran.

Rektor Unnes Prof Dr Sudijono Sastroatmodjo MSi mengungkapkan, pembinaan rutin dilakukan sebagai upaya untuk menjaga prestasi baik dalam bidang akademik maupun non-akademik.

Rektor menuturkan, penerima beasiswa ini adalah anak-anak pandai. Hal ini terbukti dari rata-rata Indeks Prestasi Kumulatif (IPK) mahasiswa Bidikmisi yang cukup tinggi. “Rata-rata IPK mahasiswa Bidikmisi tahun 2010 adalah 3,36, sedangkan tahun 2011 adalah 3,32 dan rata-rata Indeks Prestasi Sementara mahasiswa Bidikmisi 2012 sebesar 3,31,” ujarnya.

Atas berbagai capaian tersebut, Prof Sudijono mengajak semua mahasiswa untuk selalu meningkatkan prestasi dan selalu bersyukur. “Bersyukur tidak sebatas ucapan, tetapi perlu disertai tindakan prestasi seperti jargon “Bidikmisi, Prestasi”. Prestasi tidak hanya diukur dengan dengan IPK tinggi, tetapi juga bisa berprestasi di bidang non-akadamik,” katanya.

Dalam kesempatan yang dihadiri seluruh mahasiswa Bidikmisi Unnes dari semua angkatan tersebut, hadir pula segenap unsur pimpinan, mulai dari pembantu rektor dan staf ahli hingga pembantu dekan bidang kemahasiswaan.

Meningkat

Jumlah penerima Bidikmisi di Unnes, seperti dikemukakan Rektor, selalu meningkat tiap tahun. Ketika tahun 2010 Kementerian Pendidikan Nasional meluncurkannya untuk pertama kali, Unnes dipercaya menyalurkan sebanyak 450.

“Tahun 2011 berjumlah 1.450, tahun 2012 berjumlah 1.750. Pada tahun 2011 dan 2012 Unnes menempati peringkat pertama universitas penerima bidikmisi terbanyak. Tahun 2013 Unnes akan membebaskan uang kuliah untuk 1.750 mahasiswa kurang mampu,” katanya.

Kepercayaan untuk menyalurkan justru ada ketika perguruan tinggi lain turun dari sisi jumlah penerima. “Hal ini karena Unnes selalu melakukan kontrol dan pembinaan supaya penerima Bidikmisi tepat sasaran,” kata Rektor.

Selain memberi motivasi, Prof Sudijono juga menyampaikan bahwa 14 mahasiswa Bidikmisi Unnes dengan IPK di atas 3,9 beserta sejumlah mahasiswa yang berprestasi di tingkat provinsi maupun nasional, dan mahasiswa Bidikmisi dari golongan yatim piatu akan mendapatkan biaya untuk pembelian buku sebesar Rp 1.000.000. Bantuan ini dapat diambil mulai Senin, 18 Maret 2013 di ruang Pembantu Rektor Bidang Kemahasiswaan, gedung rektorat Unnes lantai II.
