Unnes bersama Penerbad Tanam 1.000 Pohon

Universitas Negeri Semarang (unnes) kolaborasi dengan Pusat Penerbangan Angkatan Darat (Penerbad) menanam 1.000 pohon dengan tema “Menanam Menuju Semarang Cantik” Jumat, (26/11) di Pusdikpenerbad JL. Puad A. Yani Semarang.

Melibatkan kurang lebih 450 orang terdiri dari dosen dan mahasiswa Unnes, personel Penerbad dan Lanud Ahmad Yani, siswa SMK Penerbad, Siswa SMA 6 dan SMP 3 Semarang.

Menyambut hari menanam nasional tanggal 28 November 2010 Unnes memulai dengan menanam pohon di luar kampus Sekaran.

”Unnes akan menyurvey lahan-lahan public yang masih gundul untuk ditanami dan kami akan bekerja sama dengan pemerintah daerah maupun dinas kehutanan untuk menghijaukan semarang” kata Rektor Prof Dr Sudijono Sastroatmodjo, MSi.

Untuk penanaman di area penerbad ini, lanjut Prof Sudijono, ”memang sudah disurvey oleh tim baik tanah maupun lahannya. Kami sudah cocok kemudian diadakan kerjasama dengan pusdikpenerbad puspenerbad. Jadi tidak sembarang tananam yang ditanam di lokasi ini. Pihak kami  sudah menyesuaikan dengan lahan yg sudah ada di sini yakni tanaman jati kebon (jabon), sawo kecik, mahoni, mangga, ketapang, trembesi, dan sebagainya, katanya.

Komandan Pusdikpenerbad Puspenerbad kolonel corp Penerbangan Maryanto mengatakan kita sangat merespon sekali menanam pohon bersama unnes apalagi gedung Pusdikpenerbad ini tergolong masih baru jadi di belum banyak pohonnya.

“TNI sangat mendukung memberi semangat, peduli kepada bangsa dan negara atas program pencanangan hari menanam nasional  oleh bapak presiden semoga bisa terwujud untuk mengurangi dampak pemanasan global” katanya.

Ir Nana Kariada TM, MSi ketua panitia mengatakan Unnes sebagai salah satu perguruan tinggi di kota Semarang ikut merasa bertanggung jawab untuk menjaga dan melestarikan lingkungan. Tahun 2010 ini terdapat kurang lebih 4.700 mahasiswa baru yang akan menanam kurang lebih 23.500 pohon, tiap mahasiswa baru diwajibkan menanam 5 pohon yang harus mereka rawat sebagai laporan ketika mereka akan menghadapi ujian skripsi nanti.

Lokasi penanaman selain di Pusdik Penerbad Ahmad Yani Semarang, juga dilakukan di 6 Kelurahan sekitar kampus meliputi kelurahan Sekaran, Kalisegoro, Sukorejo, Sadeng, Cepoko dan kelurahan Kandri.
