Unnes Tingkatkan Pelayanan Akademik

Proses penyajian materi yang konvensional seperti penggunaan power point yang ala kadarnya saat ini tidak lagi menarik. Tetapi penggunaan gambar, animasi dan lain sebagainya dalam tampilan power point lebih menarik minat mahasiswa.

Hal itu ditandaskan Pembantu Rektor Bidang Akademik Universitas Negeri Semarang (Unnes) Agus Wahyudin MSi, saat workshop Pengembangan Materi Sajian Berbasis Teknologi Informatika, Jumat (4/5), di rektorat kampus Sekaran.

Terlebih lagi, dia mengatakan, Unnes memiliki sumber daya manusia yang mumpuni serta sistem yang terintegrasi dalam mengembangkan pelayanan akademik yang berbasis teknologi informatika. “Unnes senantiasa berbenah dan meningkatkan pelayanan khususnya pelayanan akademik. Salah satu langkah kongkritnya melalui berbagai pelatihan yang diadakan seperti workshop ini,” kata Agus Wahyudin.

Workshop yang diselenggarakan Pendidikan Profesi Guru (PPG) Unnes tersebut diikuti puluhan peserta yang terdiri dari dosen PPG dan dosen Jurusan Matematika Unnes. Tim PTIK Unnes bertindak sebagai  pemateri dan pemdamping pelatihan pembuatan materi penyajian berbasis teknologi informatika itu.

Menurut Ketua PPG Abdurrahman, workshop ini bertujuan untuk membekali para dosen PPG dan dosen matematika agar mampu menarik perhatian mahasiswa ketika mengikuti perkuliahan. “Matematika merupakan salah satu mata kuliah yang dieluhkan oleh beberapa mahasiswa karena dianggap menjenuhkan. Karenanya, merupakan tantangan bagi dosen matematika untuk membuat materi penyajian berbasis teknologi informatika agar menarik bagi mahasiswa,” katanya.
