Unnes Bantu Wujudkan SMK Berbasis Pesantren

Sebanyak 80 pondok pesantren se-Jawa dan Madura yang memiliki sekolah menengah kejuruan (SMK), mengikuti dialog pengembangan pendidikan SMK berbasis komunitas pesantren, Selasa (25/2), di rektorat Universitas Negeri Semarang (Unnes) kampus Sekaran.

Sejumlah 120 orang yang datang melakukan dialog untuk menggagas pengembangan pendidikan SMK dengan menitikberatkan pada perlunya model pendidikan SMK berbasis komunitas pesantren.

Rektor Unnes Prof Dr Fathur Rokhman MHum mengatakan, SMK berbasis pesantren harus dapat memberikan contoh pengembangan model pendidikan karakter. Tidak hanya di pesantren tetapi juga di luar pesantren.

“Kearifan lokal di pesantren harus menyala dulu, memberikan cahaya terang pada masyarakat,” tuturnya.

Unnes sebagai bagian dari komunitas ini, menurut Prof Fathur, selalu terbuka dan siap membantu realisasi dan pengembangan SMK berbasis komunitas pesantren.

“Lulusan SMK komunitas pesantren yang mempunyai prestasi, semisal hafal alquran maupun kitab lain, akan dipertimbangkan untuk diterima di Unnes, baik melalui jalur Seleksi Nasional Masuk Perguruan Tinggi Negeri (SNMPTN), Seleksi Bersama Masuk Perguruan Tinggi Negeri (SBMPTN) maupun Seleksi Mandiri,” kata dia.

Kegiatan yang terselenggara atas kerja sama Unnes dengan komunitas pesantren ini menghadirkan narasumber Direktur Pembinaan SMK, Pendidikan Dasar, dan Menengah Kemdikbud, Drs Mustagfirin Amin MBA, mengatakan untuk membangun SMK Berbasis Pesantren yang bermutu, setidaknya ada lima hal yang harus dikembangkan. “Hal itu meliputi kemampuan praktik dan teori, akhlakul karimah sebagai fondasi keimanan yang kuat, proses belajar, fasilitas yang memadai, dan relevansi,” ujarnya.

Untuk mewujudkan itu, ia menuturkan, perlu diupayakan beberapa hal mendasar, yakni membangun keunggulan melalui implementasi pendidikan guru SMK kolaboratif, strategi implementasi pendidikan karakter di SMK, dan model perkuliahan kolaboratif.

Perkuliahan kolaboratif, menurutnya perlu dibangun secara komprehenshif antara Unnes, industri, pesantren dan pasar.

Sementara itu, Koordinator SMK Komunitas Pesantren se-Jawa dan Bali, H Mustamir Wildan, menuturkan pertemuan ini sebagai tindak lanjut kunjungan Mendikbud Muhammad Nuh ke Ponpes Bale Kambang, Nalumsari, Jepara, akhir 2013.

“Unnes telah membuka pintu bagi SMK berbasis komunitas pesantren mengembangkan diri membentuk santri yang akhlakul karimah dan memiliki kemampuan dasar yang berkompeten,” ungkapnya.
