Unnes Akomodasi Lulusan Pesantren

Universitas Negeri Semarang (Unnes) berkomitmen untuk mengakomodasi lulusan pondok pesantren untuk turut mengenyam pendidikan di universitas konservasi ini.

Komitmen tersebut dikemukakan oleh Rektor Unnes Sudijono Sastroatmodjo kepada unnes.ac.id, di ruang kerjanya, Selasa (8/2).

“Pesantren-pesantren merupakan salah satu pusat pendidikan penting di negeri ini. Selain menjadi bagian dari perjuangan bangsa dalam mencapai kemerdekaan, pesantren merupakan agen pencerdasan yang memiliki sejarah panjang,” katanya.

Karena itu, lanjut Rektor, pihaknya merasa terpanggil untuk menggandeng kalangan pesantren. “Dalam waktu dekat akan kita undang para pengelola pesantren ke Sekaran,” katanya.

Dia berharap, dalam penerimaan mahasiswa baru, para santri dapat ambil bagian untuk ikut bersaing dengan lulusan SMA/SMK/MA pada uimumnya. “Tentu saja dalam hal persyaratan pendaftaran, kita akan mengikuti aturan secara nasional tanpa mengabaikan prinsip pendidikan untuk semua,” katanya.

Rektor juga mengatakan, perhatian juga akan diberikan kepada calon mahasiswa dari luar Provinsi Jawa Tengah. “Unnes bukan hanya milik Jawa Tengah, tetapi milik seluruh bangsa Indonesia,” katanya.
