Universiti Malaysia Sabah dan Unnes Sinergi di Bidang Seni

Universiti Malaysia Sabah (UMS) dan Universitas Negeri Semarang (Unnes) berkomitmen untuk membangun sinergi di bidang seni. Sinergi antara lain mencakupi tukar-menukar dosen dan mahasiswa, penelitian, dan publikasi karya ilmiah bersama, terutama di bidang seni.

Dari Malaysia reporter unnes.ac.id Sucipto Hadi Purnomo melaporkan, komitmen itu tertuang dalam nota kesepahaman yang ditandatangani Naib Konselor (Rektor) UMS Prof Muhammad Harun PhD dan Pembantu Rektor Bidang pengembangan dan Kerja Sama (PR IV) Unnes Prof Dr Fathur Rokhman, di kampus UMS Kota Kinabalu, Sabah, Malaysia, Selasa (11/9). PR IV hadir bersama Ketua Program Studi Pendidikan Seni S3 Unnes Prof Dr Tjetjep Rohendi Rohidi.

Di tempat yang sama, kegiatan itu juga diikuti penandatanganan naskah kerja sama antara UMS dan Universitas Sebelas Maret Surakarta (UNS) yang dilakukan oleh PR IV UNS Dr Widodo Muktiyo.

“Sudah lama kita berkongsi ide. Maka saya percaya, MoU ini akan menjadi langkah awal Sekolah Pengajian Seni UMS untuk memantapkan pengembangan seni sehingga bermanfaat bagi kedua negara serumpun,” kata Naib Konselor UMS, sebelum penandatanganan.

Dia juga menyatakan dukungannya terhadap setiap inisiatif untuk melakukan penguatan antarbangsa. “Keunikan keduanya harus dipahami untuk kepentingan bersama,” tandasnya.

Pada bagian lain, PR IV Unnes mengundang orang nomor satu di UMS itu untuk melakukan lawatan ke Unnes bersama para dosen dan mahasiswa. “Kebetulan 17-18 Desember 2012 nanti Unnes akan mengadakan Seminar dan Festival Warisan Budaya Nusantara II yang akan diikuti sedikitnya lima negara,” katanya.

Dikemukakan pula, selama ini sudah banyak mahasiswa Malaysia belajar di Unnes. “Lewat kerja sama ini, saya berharap makin banyak mahasiswa dari Sabah yang belajar di Unnes, begitu pula sebaliknya,” kata Prof Fathur.

    Siiiiiipppp semoga sll sukses dan berlanjut sebagai suatu titian muhibah dan berharap ke depan tdk hanya bidang seni tp jg budaya dan kerifan lokal masing2 negara sehingga bermanfaat bg kedua wrga negra utk memahmi dimana mereka tinggal. Apalg bnyk WNI di sana dng memahani kebudayaan dan konteks dimana budaya itu ada diharapkan dpt pemahaman holistik.
