Universitas Jambi Adopsi Sistem IT Unnes

Universitas Jambi (Unja) menggandeng Universitas Negeri Semarang (Unnes) dalam mengembangkan sistem teknologi informasi. Kerja sama ditandai dengan penandatanganan perjanjian kerja sama (MoA) di Unja, Rabu (20/11).

Rektor Unja Prof Dr Aulia Tasman MSc mengatakan, kerja sama dengan Unnes harus berlanjut dan saling memberikan kebermanfaatan, terutama di bidang IT. Aplikasi di bidang IT yang sudah terlaksana adalah presensi lewat internet bagi segenap dosen dan karyawan di Unja.

“Komitmen Unja , dana yang dianggarkan tahun 2014 untuk IT sebesar 40 miliar rupiah, dalam rangka mengembangkan sistem di Unja.  Hal itu dibarengi dengan peningkatan sarana dan prasarana serta SDM untuk mendukung itu,” ujarnya.

Rektor Unnes Prof Dr Fathur Rokhman  MHum menyambut baik kepercaayaan oleh Unja yang telah mengajak Unnes untuk bekerja sama untuk meningkatkan kualitas pendidikan. Menurut Rektor, segenap lini yang ada dalam sebuah lembaga harus punya upaya sinergis untuk meingkatkan mutu.

“Selain sumber daya manusia yang  selalu ditingkatkan, kita juga harus selalu membangun jaringan dan bekerja sama dengan banyak pihak,” katanya.

Rektor menjelaskan, pada awal tahun 2006, Unnes memacu SDM secara “gila” untuk perubahan  menuju melek informasi. Pada awal pelaksanaan program sistem akademik terpadu (Sikadu),  seluruh prodi terintegrasi dalam satu sistem. “Pada tahun 2012, Unnes dianugerahi Kemdikbud karena menyuguhkan layanan publik terbaik dalam bidang pendidikan,” ujarnya.

Rektor juga mengatakan, seiring globalisasi, sistem yang telah dibangun untuk mempermudah akses informasi dan data akan mampu memenuhi kebutuhan manusia yang serba cepat. Unnes juga membangun sistem-sistem lain, seperti sistem informasi keuangan (Sikeu), sistem informasi akuntansi (Siakun), dan sistem informasi skripsi (Siskripsi).

“Tidak hanya untuk kebutuhan internal Unnes, tapi sistem yang dibuat untuk memudahkan berbagai urusan akademik dan administrasi itu bisa juga dimanfaatkan oleh perguruan tinggi lain,” katanya.

Turut serta dalam rombongan Unnes, Prof Dr Rustono MHum, Prof Dr YL Sukestiyarno MS PhD, Prof Wahyu Hardiyanto, dan Kabag serta Kasubag Kerja Sama Dalam Negeri.

Pada hari kedua disampaikan materi kuliah umum oleh Prof Fathur Rokhman MHum mengenai Tren Riset Kualitatif di Bidang Humaniora, dan Prof Dr Rustono MHum tentang bahasa dan sastra.
