UKM Penelitian Unnes Juara I dan II Tingkat Nasional

Unit Kegiatan Mahasiswa (UKM) Penelitian Universitas Negeri Semarang (Unnes) meraih juara I dan II pada gelaran Neuron Award yang diselenggarakan Masyarakat Ilmuwan dan Teknolog Indonesia (MITI), Sabtu (8/3), di Graha Sabha Pramana Universitas Gadjah Mada (UGM) Yogyakarta.

Ketua UKM Penelitian, Hudi Hermawan, menuturkan prestasi itu diraih atas karya Jurnal Pelangi dan Pendidikan yang konsen pada konservasi. “Jurnal Cendekia yang terbit secara periodik juga mendapat penghargaan,” ujarnya.

Jurnal Cendekia, kata Hudi, berisi berbagai kegiatan yang fokus kepada penelitian dan pengabdian. Menurutnya, UKM Penelitian selama ini telah memberdayakan desa binaan di Desa Kandri Gunungpati Kota Semarang. Desa itu telah diberdayakan menjadi desa wisata alam dan kuliner.

“UKM Penelitian juga memiliki sekolah mitra yang fokus pada pemberdayaan bimbingan Karya Ilmiah Remaja dan pelatihan media untuk guru. Di antaranya SMA Negeri 2 Kendal dan SMP Nasima Semarang,” ujarnya.

Selain itu, menurutnya, UKM Penelitian menjadi motivator mahasiswa sehingga mampu menorehkan karya dalam Program Kreativitas Mahasiswa (PKM). “PKM Unnes selalu masuk pengirim tiga besar terbanyak nasional,” jelasnya.

Bimbingan Intensif

Prestasi yang telah didapat tidak lepas dari peran serta dosen pendamping Much Aziz Muslim MKom. Dosen di Fakultas Matematika dan Ilmu Pengetahuan Alam (FMIPA) Unnes itu selalu memberikan pendampingan intensif sehingga UKM penelitian mampu menyabet “The Best of The Best” dan “The Best Contribution” dari lima nominasi tingkat nasional penghargaan dalam kompetisi itu.

UKM Penelitian berhasil mengalahkan 11 finalis, yaitu Forces (IPB), KPM (UNJ), LKIM Pena (Unimus), Leppim (UPI), LPM (UNM), PPIPM (UNP), RnB (Undip), SIM (UNS), FDI (UMM), dan EXIST (Universitas Jambi).

“Unnes menggeser posisi Forces IPB yang tahun sebelumnya meraih The Best of The Best. Sedangkan posisi ketiga diraih Unimus, peringkat keempat UPI dan posisi kelima diraih UNM,” ungkap Hudi.

Piala penghargaan diberikan Dr Warsito Purwo Taruno ilmuwan bidang tomografi yang juga Ketua Umum MITI Pusat. Hadir dalam acara itu, Menkominfo Tifatul Sembiring, Wakil Rektor UGM, dan Wakil Bupati Sleman.

Selain itu, hadir pula pembicara International Conference Prof Dr Subagus Wahyuono MSc Apt, Dr Tofael Ahamed (ahli bidang agrobiology Universitas Tsukuba, Jepang), Franz Gelbke (staf ahli Jerman Bidang Pengembangan Bisnis dan Transfer Teknologi, Jerman), dan Dr Warsito Purwo Taruno (penemu ECCT dan ECVT).

“Pencapaian ini adalah hasil dari kerja keras, kerja cerdas dan kerja iklas segenap pengurus UKM Penelitian Unnes,” pungkas Hudi.
