UKM Baksos Unnes Peduli Anak Cacat Ganda

Unit Kegiatan Mahasiswa Bakti Sosial (UKM Baksos) Universitas Negeri Semarang (Unnes) mengadakan bakti sosial di Panti Asuhan Cacat Ganda Al-Rifdah Pedurungan Semarang, Minggu (11/11).

Pendamping UKM Baksos Unnes Said Sunardiyo MT mengatakan, acara ini diselenggarakan berdasarkan Tri Dharma perguruan tinggi. “Salah satunya berwujud pengabdian kepada masyarakat,” ujar dosen di Jurusan Teknik Elektro Fakultas Teknik Unnes itu.

Pemilik panti Asuhan Rahma mengungkapkan, panti asuhan Al-Rafidah telah menampung 18 anak cacat ganda. “Mereka berasal dari razia Satpol PP, dibuang orang tuanya, dan ada juga orang tua yang menitipkan ke panti ini,” tuturnya sambil berkaca-kaca.

Rahma juga banyak bercerita tentang sejarah pendirian panti tersebut. “Mulanya didirikan di daerah Banget Ayu Pedurungan, kemudian pindah karena banyak penolakan warga sekitar terhadap adanya panti yang berisi anak-anak upnormal,” ujarnya.

Setelah penolakan itu, dia mengatakan, panti dipindah di daerah Sendang Sari yang berada tidak jauh dari lokasi panti sebelumnya. “Tetapi lagi-lagi penolakan warga membuat panti pindah lagi. Akhirnya panti Al-Rifdah pindah di sini sampai sekarang,” katanya.

Ketua Panitia Bakti Sosial Widodo mengatakan, pelaksanaan bakti sosial ini tidak lepas dari bantuan berbagai pihak. “Bantuan utama tentunya dari pihak universitas tetapi kami juga mengumpulkan bantuan dari mahasiswa,” kata Widodo.

Melalui hal itu, menurut Widodo, mahasiswa akan terpupuk jiwa sosialnya. “Ini juga untuk menumbuhkan karakter konservasi,” ujarnya. (Ervina, Syam)

    ukm baksos itu apa yah mas mba?? saya dari pgsd tegal kurang tau ttg pkm baksos, sekilas mendengar ttg ukm baksos saya langsung tertarik dg ukm baksos…
