Tonton Film Pendek Pengabdian, Calon Peserta SM3T Menangis

Calon peserta program Sarjana Mendidik di Daerah Terdepan, Terluar, dan Tertinggal (SM3T) tak kuasa menahan haru saat menyaksikan film pendek tentang kondisi di daerah pengabdian. Sebagian dari mereka bahkan menitikkan air mata saat menyaksikan film berdurasi sekitar 10 menit ini.

Rasa haru itu muncul karena film itu menunjukkan  tantangan yang harus dihadapi peserta ketika terjun ke daerah pengabdian. Mereka harus hidup dengan komunitas baru dengan fasilitas yang sangat minim. Minimnya fasilitas mengharuskan peserta jalan kaki menuju ke sekolah, mendaki bukit, bahkan menyeberangi sungai. Beberapa peserta harus menjemput siswa agar mereka mau bersekolah.

Meski demikian, calon peserta justru semakin terpacu semangatnya untuk mengikuti program ini. Shinta Nur Baeti misalnya, merasa semakin terpacu mengabdikan diri untuk warga di daerah 3T.

“Setelah melihat kondisi pendidikan di daerah pengabdian itu saya terharu. Membuat saya lebih semangat untuk mengabdikan diri supaya pendidikan di daerah sasaran lebih maju,” kata sarjana Pendidikan Kimia ini.

Hal senada juga dikatakan Tina Setiyani, alumni Jurusan PGSD Unnes. Menurutnya, program yang akan ia ikuti selaras dengan cita-citanya untuk menjadi guru.

“Cita-cita saya ingin menjadi guru. Jadi selaras untuk mengabdikan ilmu yang saya peroleh dari bangku kuliah kepada masyarakat di mana saja berada,” katanya.

Kepala Pusat Pengembangan Profesi Guru (PPG) Unnes Drs Ngabiyanto MSi mengatakan, film pendek yang ditayangkan merupakan bagian dari metode seleksi yang diadakan panitia. Calon peserta diminta menanggapi secara solutif persoalan-persoalan yang muncul pada film tersebut. Dengan cara itu, kemampuan analisis dan probem solving calon peserta akan diketahui.

“Tes wawancara diikuti oleh 383 peserta. Ini peserta yang sebelumnya telah lolos seleksi tes online,” katanya. Setidaknya 26 pewawancara dilibatkan dalam proses ini.
