Tim Taekwondo UNNES Sabet 4 Medali di Ajang Indonesia International BIHO PRESIDENT CUP 2021

Tim mahasiswa Universitas Negeri Semarang (UNNES) menorehkan prestasi cemerlang di Kejuaran Online Indonesia International Biho President Cup. Mahasiswa UNNES berhasil menyabet tiga medali emas, dan satu medali perunggu di berbagai kategori.

Pada kejuaraan tersebut Cut Niken A meraih medali emas pada kategori Speedkick Female, Angela Cornellia meraih medali emas kategori Poomsae Individual Female, Satria Fajar M meraih medali emas kategori Poomsae Individual Male, dan Faradina Safira meraih medali perunggu kategori oomsae Individual Female.

Cut Niken A salah satu peraih medali emas menyampaikan kejuaraan Online Indonesia International Biho President Cup 2021 merupakan kegiatan dari Pengurus Besar Taekwondo Indonesia (PBTI) yang bersinergi dengan Pengurus Provinsi Taekwondo Indonesia (Pengprov TI) Sumatra Utara yang dilaksanakan secara virtual pada 11 -12 April 2021. Kompetisi ini diikuti oleh 1.568 atlet yang berasal dari 13 negara.

“Pandemi covid-19 yang datang awal tahun lalu membuat kompetisi yang tersedia berubah. Dulu, kebanyakan lomba taekwondo dilaksanakan secara luring, namun, belakangan harus beralih format menjadi daring,” ucap Cut Niken.

Selain itu, Angela Cornellia mahasiswa Pendidikan Kepelatihan Olahraga yang juga meraih emas mengatakan pada ajang kali ini, para atlet harus merekam video dengan ketentuan yang sudah ditetapkan panitia.

“Kita harus bisa menyesuaikan diri secara maksimal, kemudian membuat video yang langsung diunggah ke YouTube. Setelah itu panitia memberikan penilaian secara secara langsung,” jelas Angela.

Sementara itu, Satria Fajar M yang meraih medali emas dan Faradina Safira meraih medali perunggu, mengaku tidak menyangka bisa menjadi salah satu yang meraih medali. Menurutnya, semua kemenangan yang diraih merupakan hasil dari kerja keras dan doa yang tak pernah putus.
