Tim PKM-K Unnes Ubah Limbah Kulit Pisang Jadi Sheet Mask 

Pisang merupakan buah yang tumbuh subur di Indonesia. Salah satu bagian pisang yang orang tidak tahu memiliki banyak manfaat adalah kulit pisang. Kandungan senyawa didalamnya berupa fenolik dan karotenoid memiliki aktivitas sebagai antioksidan sangat tinggi. Aktivitas antioksidan ini dapat mencegah  pembentukan radikal bebas sehingga menghambat melanogenesis pada melasma.

Berawal dari hal itu, tim PKM-K Unnes menghadirkan sheet mask dari ekstrak kulit pisang yang mereka namai “Musaceae Mask”. 

Komposisi ekstrak kulit pisang pada produk Musaceae Mask memikili keunggulan sebagai alternatif treatment melasma yang aman, praktis, dan terjangkau. Masker ini juga dapat menghambat hiperpigmentasi, yang dapat membantu memudarkan flek hitam tanpa menimbulkan efek samping. Antioksidan dan moisturizing agent didalamnya juga membuat kulit lebih sehat, lembab dan awet muda.

Tim PKM-K yang didanai oleh Kemendikbud Ristek, Unnes, dan Fakultas Kedokteran Unnes ini berjudul “Musaceae Mask : Pemanfaatan Limbah Kulit Pisang sebagai Sheet Mask untuk Alternatif Treatment pada Melasma”.

Tim yang beranggotakan lima mahasiswa dari berbagai prodi yaitu dari Program Studi Farmasi terdapat Mayyaza Urfa Karima sebagai Ketua Tim dan Excecutive Director, Mellannni Kusnaidi sebagai Production Director, dan Leni Kholifah sebagai Administration Director. Kemudian, dari Program Studi Manajemen dilengkapi oleh Ikfi Naelal Ilma sebagai Financial Director, dan Tiara Azka Nadhifa dari Program Studi Psikologi sebagai Marketing Director. 

Mereka didampingi oleh Ibu apt. Neli Syahida Ni’ma, S.Farm., M.Si. yang merupakan dosen dari Farmasi Unnes.

Meskipun target pasar sheet mask untuk kalangan dewasa dengan usia diatas 25 tahun, Mayyaza mengatakan bahwa produk ini dapat digunakan oleh remaja mulai dari usia 13 tahun karena komposisinya yang aman.

Pelaksanaan kegiatan  Tim ini sudah berjalan selama empat bulan. Mulai dari tahap persiapan, produksi, penjualan, hingga evaluasi. Untuk saat ini, Tim PKM-K Musaceae Mask sedang bersiap menjalani tahap Penilaian Kemajuan Pelaksanaan PKM (PKP2) dari Kemendikbud Ristek. Karenananya, diharapkan doa serta dukungan dari berbagai pihak demi majunya tim ini ke PIMNAS.
