Tim Mahapala Tiba di Argentina, Amerika

Sabtu (16/11) pukul 01.00 waktu Argentina, Tim mahasiswa pencinta alam (Mahapala) Universitas Negeri Semarang (Unnes) pendaki gunung Aconcagua Argentina, Amerika mendarat di bandara Ministro Pistarini Argentina.

Mereka tergabung dalam program Spirit of Indonesian Youth Expedition (SIYE) Part III yakni Miftakhul Ulum Fakultas Teknik (FT), Putra Tri Atmaja, dan Hermawati keduanya dari Fakultas Ilmu Pendidikan (FIP). Tim dijemput staf Dubes RI untuk Argentina, Yanuar Nasrun.

Miftakhul Ulum, salah satu anggota tim via skype melaporkan hal itu kepada Ma`rifah ketua panitia di Semarang saat menghubungi unnes.ac.id, Selasa (19/11).

Pukul 08.00, kata Ma’rifah, Tim diundang oleh Duta Besar RI untuk Argentina Kartini Syahrir bersama dengan mahasiswa Buenos Aires, sekaligus pertemuan dengan perhimpunan keluarga negara Asean di Argentina (Malaysia, Vietnam, Singapura, Filiphina, Thailand) untuk memperingati Asean family Days 2013.

Dalam pertemuan itu Tim melakukan tukar informasi keindahan potensi pariwisata, budaya Indonesia, dan mengenalkan Unnes sebagai Universitas Konservasi kepada beberapa tamu dari berbagai negara.

“Tim berhasil mempromosikan pariwisata Indonesia dan Unnes Konservasi kepada tamu yang ada di KBRI Argentina,” kata Miftakhul Ulum yang ditirukan Ma’rifah.

Surya salah satu warga Jerman yang juga menjadi mahasiswa di Universitas Buenos Aires mengaku senang dengan komunikasi tim atlet yang mempromosikan Negara Indonesia, dan Universitas Negeri Semarang.
“Saya ingin sekali berkunjung ke Jawa Tengah untuk mengetahui lebih dalam tentang Unnes Konservasi,” tegas Surya setelah dijelaskan dan melihat leaflet serta buku visit Jawa Tengah dan Unnes Konservasi.

Tepat pukul 10.00 Tim dipersilakan oleh Kartini Syahrir Duta Besar RI untuk Argentina memperkenalkan diri. Tim menjelaskan tujuan mengadakan pendakian yang bertepatan dengan peringatan Hari Pahlawan serta mempromosikan wisata Indonesia dan memperkenalkan Konservasi Unnes.

“Semoga Tim ekspedisi Mahapala Unnes bisa melaksanakan tugasnya dengan sukses mengibarkan bendera Indonesia di puncak tertinggi Benua Amerika,” tutur Miftakhul Ulum, ketua Tim mengulang kata-kata yang disampaikan oleh Kartini Syahrir, Duta Besar RI di Buenos Aires pada pertemuan tersebut.

Selain itu, Tim juga menggali data tentang konservasi lingkungan di kampus Buenos Aires dan wilayah Argentina.

Kini tim sudah sampai kota Mendoza , kota terakhir untuk start pendakian.
