Tiga Mahasiswa FIP Short Course di Thailand

Kesempatan itu seperti burung yang tak pernah bertengger, begitu kata pepatah mengatakan; yang maksudnya adalah kesempatan tidak pernah diduga kapan datangnya. Seperti halnya tiga orang mahasiswa FIP yang mendapatkan kesempatan untuk berangkat mengikuti program short course ke Mahasarakham State University (MSU) di Thailand Senin (28/10) yang lalu.

Tidak pernah diduga sebelumnya bahwa mahasiswa semester lima kelas internasional (IC) jurusan PGPAUD FIP atas nama Lauren Bella, Aulia Rahma, dan Bilqis Arsi Addina menjadi yang terpilih untuk berangkat ke negara gajah putih. Setelah sebelumnya mereka harus bersaing dengan puluhan mahasiswa lain dalam tes tertulis dan wawancara; hingga skor menyatakan bahwa ketiga mahasiswi inilah yang menjadi peserta untuk merasakan kuliah singkat di negara lain.

Ketiga mahasiswa ini melaksanakan program short course selama tiga minggu dan akan berakhir pada pertengahan bulan November (14/11). Dalam ceritanya, mahasiswa disambut sangat hangat oleh para mahasiswa yang menjemput dan diterima dengan sangat baik oleh para dosen yang berada dilingkup fakultas dan jurusan. Walaupun adanya perbedaan dalam berpakaian dan makanan, namum mereka sangat terbuka dan membantu dalam hal kebutuhan mahasiswa unnes. Sehingga terlihat betul bagaimana proses pendidikan inklusif diterapkan. Walaupun tidak jauh berbeda kondisi cuaca dengan yang ada di Indonesia, namun pengalaman berharga ini yang akan menjadikan sejarah dalam kehidupan mereka.

Program ini merupakan salah satu bentuk implementasi kerjasama yang telah terjalin antara UNNES dan MSU sejak tahun 2015. Adanya kegiatan short course dapat terselenggara atas hasil diskusi yang singkat namun efektif antara Dekan Faculty of Education (FoE) MSU dengan tim UNNES saat berkunjung untuk mengikuti pameran Pendidikan yang diselenggarakan oleh pihak MSU.

Terwujudnya program ini juga tidak lepas dari adanya peran nternational Office (IO) UNNES yang sangat aktif membantu, sehingga kegiatan ini dapat terlaksana. Sehingga, dapat dipastikan bahwa kegiatan ini pun akan mempererat kolaborasi antar dua instansi.

Untuk selanjutnya di akhir bulan November ini, giliran pihak MSU yang akan berkunjung dan melakukan program short course di lingkup Fakultas Ilmu Pendidikan. Akan hadir empat orang mahasiswa dan dua orang staff pengajar dari FoE MSU. Mereka juga akan melakukan kegiatan serupa seperti: sit in di dalam pembelajaran kelas internasional di beberapa jurusan, mengenal budaya Indonesia lewat tarian, pertunjukkan, serta makanan, dan mengunjungi sekolah-sekolah.
