Tiga Kali Prof Kasmadi di SMA 2 Mranggen

Tiga kali sudah Prof Dr Kasmadi Imam Supardi hadir di SMA 2 Mranggen, Kabupaten Demak. Profesor Fakultas Matematika dan Ilmu Pengetahuan Alam (FMIPA) itu hadir sebagai bagian dari program Professors Go to Schools.

Kehadiran mantan Dekan FMIPA itu disambut oleh kepala sekolah, wakil kepala sekolah, dan guru-guru Kimia. Maklumlah, Prof Kasmadi adalah profesor bidang ilmu ini.

Kehadiran perdana diisi dengan dua kegiatan, observasi pembelajaran kimia di kelas X IPA-1 sebagai kelas pelaksana Kurikulum 2013 dan diskusi penyelenggaraan pembelajaran dengan Kurikulum 2013. Kegiatan ini bahkan diikuti Kepala Bidang Dinas Pendidikan Kabupaten, kepala sekolah, guru, dan staf tata usaha SMA 2 Mranggen.

Kehadiran kedua diisi dengan tanggapan pelaksanaan pembelajaran kimia. Selain itu, Prof Kasmadi juga memotivasi siswa kelas XII IPA-2 untuk mempersiapkan diri studi lanjut di perguruan tinggi.

Pertengahan Desember lalu, yang merupakan kehadiran ketiga, diisi dengan dua kegiatan, observasi pelaksanaan Ujian Akhir Semester (UAS) dan pengambilan sampel lembar soal UAS kelas X, XI, dan XII.

“Mengapa tidak semua sekolah mendapat program Professors Go to Schools?” tanya seorang guru.

Menanggapi pertanyaan tersebut, Prof Kasmadi mengungkapkan, tidak mungkin semua sekolah yang mendapatkan kujungan profesor Unnes dalam program tersebut. “Meski demikian, terbuka kemungkinan program ini diperluas. Apalagi mengingat permintaan untuk itu makin banyak,” katanya.

Dalam pertemuan itu juga terungkap, SMA 2 Mranggen siap menerima PPL mahasiswa Unnes. Secara khusus, siswa kelas XII IPA tampak sangat antusias mengikuti persiapan melanjutkan studi ke perguruan tinggi. Buktinya, banyak pertanyaan dari mereka, mulai dari kiat mencapai derajat profesor, cara mendaftar sebagai calon mahasiswa ke Unnes, cara memperoleh beasiswa, hingga persiapan agar lolos masuk PTN.
